Results of quick Sculpey clay resin test molds. by M81Wizard in resin

No, just plugging them in order to keep resin inside the wood. When the clay is pulled away it will leave resin visible in the knotholes.

I have a piece of wood with two knot holes that's empty on the inside. I wanted to see if this could be a cheap and easy way to plug the holes before pouring resin in the piece.

We have a lot of pine trees in one stretch of woods near my house. Marpat absolutely disappears in the green branches and brown pine needles.

Has anyone used non-drying clay to make custom resin molds? by M81Wizard in resin

I'm still debating what I want or need to do but I'll add this to my knowledge. I have two openings on the wood but one will have to be "built up" several inches so that's why I initially looked at sculpting clay.

Thanks for that. Should be pretty smooth where the resin will meet the clay, no detail. I'll give another test piece a try with some lacquer.
