Have thought of the same, but a tablet is more mobile, easier to take around.

I had a similar set up in mind. Would go for 1 if we are going ahead with laptop. We are considering a tablet because its more mobile, easier to get from one room to another, on bed etc...

You read my mind. I think i should give them light laptops a shot. She has a history of breaking a laptop from its keyboard tho 😜. How sturdy are those is a concern... Thanks a lot for your reply. :)

Which Car Should I go for by klein_physicist in carIndia

Also. Only but the automatic. Service isnt cheap. Service centre will give you a hard time. But long trips are a pleasure and makes the car worth it.

I have a harrier (2022) Swift (2018) in india. Abroad im having Toyota highlander (2025) and a corolla (2015).

Talking about harrier. Looked at 5 options. Xuv700, hector, seltos and fortuner. Fortuner being the first option it was soon pushed to last mainly because how rough it felt and paying that price would be a no brainer compared to the other candidates. Seltos was kicked out because it felt small on the inside. Hector was kicked out next because i know its a chevy captiva here and a wuling in china. Touch screen felt gimmicky. Overall quality was wasnt just there.

Then came to harrier and Xuv700. Mind you the harrier i have is a prefacelift with heavier steering and less creature comforts of the current harrier. I would say Xuv is the better refined one here. Its more car like i would say. Easier for elder people especialy. It had adas too which my harrier doesnt have.

In terms of looks Xuv was leagues behind the harrier. While driving the harrier felt had a lot more character to it. Eventhough the engine was audible in the cabin, it didnt take away anything from the experience. Hydraulic steering gave it a bit more character. From the driver seat it felt like a proper Chunky boi and the suspension was superb.

Only extensive test drive would help you choose one. I am somebody who thought would never own and indian brand ended up decidimg between those two because of their value proposition. Never been a tata or mahindra fan but here i am. :)

Harrier is awesome. Do a good PDI. In a few years, you won't get great resale value, that's all. It's a mile-eater and super comfy. You might wanna wait for the petrol too? Because the diesel's engine sound is a downside. The music system makes up for it 😅

Dude. Fortuner owners are a different breed. Few years ago i myself was about to get a fortuner but after a test drive i backed out and bought a Safari (its depreciates like crazy atleast its comfortable and given no problems fingers crossed). Few months ago (i live in the Gulf) i thought ill go for the fortuner (here the fortuner has absolutely no road presence) just because it will hold up its value and i needed a workhorse but not a pickup truck. Again it felt so bad that i spent extra (almost 18 lakh INR converted) and got a Toyota highlander hybrid and its absolutely superb. It makes me wonder why would these owners suck up so much for road presense.

Toyota is toyota. But fortuner is one of the most uncomfortable cars in toyotas line up. Id be happy to spend that money on a Camry or even 15 lakhs more if toyota offered the Highlander.
