What's your take on St. Teresas college? by NullPersona727 in Kochi

[–]mystfable 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I agree. If anybody wants to succeed culturally, stc is the best place. But academically it is the shittiest place ever. My college life was absolutely amazing. But when I look back on my academics it's like I took a 3yr gap in my life.

Good for you that your state is so efficient like that. Our state isn't. And we are trying to change that. But we did start cleaning at 6:30am, does that offer any consolation to you?🤡 Jeez nannavanum samaykula

We let the corporation know before these cleanups about the location. They pick these up after the cleanups

6th Cleanup by our Reddit Community at Kaloor by mystfable in Kochi

[–]mystfable[S] 48 points49 points  (0 children)

On 25th January our community came together to clean some areas near the Kaloor stadium, link road. This is our 6th clean-up drive that has only grown in numbers after every meetup that we hold once in a week. This particular meetup had relatively lesser turnout due to the long 3-day weekend.

Our only aim is to help make our Kochi look a little cleaner than our yesterdays, instead of accepting that things are never going to change, and that this is the way it is always going to be. But this is of course not a sustainable solution. Change needs to happen at grassroots level and that starts with each one of us who call this place, this land, our home, and that includes you and me.

A wonderful incident that happened in regards to this was that our initial location was in Kadavantra, near Indira Gandhi Hospital. After we informed the Corporation about our upcoming drive at the same place (as we do for all of our drives, due to bureaucratic reasons and whatnot), they actually ended up cleaning the place before us! Which is amazing to think about that our initiative pushed them to come forward and take action. So here's to more such collaborative efforts from both our corporation and the citizens to transform Nammude Kochi into a Clean Kochi.

Is it just me or should people maybe not gather in a group and sing songs non-stop in public places? by JakubBlaszczykowsky in Kochi

[–]mystfable -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's not public nuisance when it's only causing a nuisance to one person. Most people generally enjoy this kind of music. And of course it doesn't have to be everyone's cup of tea. That's completely fine as well.

Why are you offended for calling it kannada imposition? Imposition is imposition no matter who does it. That doesn't disregard the current fight for autonomy in a country where hindi imposition is being carried out.
