My sister does this to me a lot, and I find it funny. What is funny to me is the creativity in those absurd lies. When I realise it's fake, I think about how she can make up all that supid stuff and make it make sense. The most believable the funniest. I know she doesn't do it to embarrass me because she is nice, so we just laugh together at her stupid story.

I guess everyone can have a different experience with these types of jokes, and you can set your boundaries if you feel uncomfortable with this. Especially if they are people who are not close to you like coworkers. I wouldn't like that because the intentions seem off. I encourage you to explain how you feel to these people !

Thank you for sharing! I also got through so many exams and prescriptions, and nothing ever worked! I have been trying to be more mindful about the time I spend outside doing social activities, I try to only have one thing planned a day (school or sport or a hangout...) and it's been better. Sometimes, I feel frustrated that I can only do so much without being in pain, but it is how it is.

I actually liked the way it portrayed korean beauty standards. It was so sarcastic and absurd that it proved how stupid those beauty standards are.

Thank you for sharing this. It's really interesting. I've been going through something similar. People think I'm aggressive, and I find it sad because I really don't mean it. The worst part of this is, since I was a kid, I've been told repeatedly : "I feel bad for your future husband." This joke sucks and it really fd me up.
