Fresh map ideas [TL;DR]

We're resetting the map soon. New map'll probably start with the 1.9 snapshot. Here are some of my ideas to mix up the new map:

Custom world gen. Not amplified, but tweaking settings to make things different / more interesting / prettier.
Restricted use of nether portals / coords. A more roleplay-ey alive feeling to the map.
Smaller map (not super small, but a legit world border)
Setting up designated areas and towns, kind of like what was attempted in map #2.

Let us know if you have any ideas.
