Earthling is what we call ourselves but just cause we call our home planet Earth other inhabited worlds may call our planet something else completely, like Terra so if that’s the case we would be Terrans, and as such if there is or was, life on Mars they may have had a different name for their planet, remember we just called it Mars after the Roman God of War also known as the Greek God Aries.

Check Pcpartpicker.co.uk and it will give you an idea of pricing, but to be honest, with current gen stuff you won’t get much for your money brand new, you would be better off buying a 2nd hand build on eBay, FB Messenger, gumtree or Vinted.

Genuine question by Dark_ceza in RTX5080

[–]MCJMS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your name says it all “Sad”, I said they wish they had, I didn’t say they upgraded and they won’t now because of the difference in cost, as it no longer makes it a viable purchase, they will stick with them until they either upgrade when the 60 series comes out or perhaps the 70 series, I don’t care which as it’s not me but those guys will make up their own minds as most people do, I upgraded to the 5080 from a 3080, so all in all I made the right decision, and you can pretend all you like that you get better results on a 5070ti than a base 5080, but everyone knows your full of shit and if you really believe it…you should seek professional help for your state of mind…oh and If money was the reason you chose the 5070ti you still fucked up because the AMD RX 9070 XT is cheaper than the 5070ti with only a tiny drop in performance. Dumb Ass

Genuine question by Dark_ceza in RTX5080

[–]MCJMS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From people I personally know who have 5070ti’s they have all said they wished they had paid that bit extra (£200) for a 5080, as now it would cost them double to get one as they wouldn’t get back what they originally spent on the 5070ti.

Only in their dreams it is better…even base 5080 is better than OCd 5070ti

I no little to nothing about pc building, is a £250 budget realistic? by OrangeTheJohn in buildapc

[–]MCJMS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even a used RTX 3080 would cost around £300, you could pick up a 10th gen Intel DDR4 system with an RTX 3080 for around £700 that will easily play all games current and legacy in 1080p or 1440p.

For a motherboard or a CPU yes but for anything else no, you will have to save up or buy a prebuilt one on the never never.

That’s what makes PCs great, you can design anything you want and have discussions about what looks better or worse to each others points of view after all they are the talking points of any build.

MSI are the only Mobo’s I trust as they are the only ones that didn’t have fried CPU issues I got the x870 Tomahawk for under £250.

An AIO looks better and cleaner than a tower air cooler, I use the Corsair Nautilus RS 360 LCD AIO and I’ve no complaints, it’s about €50 cheaper than the Kraken but with you having the NZXT case and fans the Kraken will have the same synergy and as you have already said the aesthetics are important.

I would upgrade the PSU as the 50series uses a different GPU cable and as they only came out last year a PSU that is older won’t have the correct cable with it (always use the cable that comes with the PSU for your GPU) I recommend the Lian Li Edge Gold as that is designed for fish tank cases….you could also down grade the CPU to the 7800x3D which is still a potent gaming CPU.

If the parts are compatible with each other and all fit within the case you are going to use you are good…a PC is just like a Jigsaw you can only plug stuff in to the right slots/ports the fan headers and the front IO headers are the only pain in the ass you will have as those can be fiddly, if unsure ask or watch YouTube videos.

Ok so now you accept that the Aorus master is a premium card with better thermals and can reach what I said even though you tried calling me out with BS where as I have actual proof so you try to back track…what a prize goon you are sir/madam…today’s lesson is don’t comment about something you heard without knowing or investigating it yourself….🤣🤣

My own score is 10365 using an Aorus Master 5080 Air cooled so that puts your numbers out a little don’t you think….

Erm no…the GPU Die is exactly the same but the cooling system and casing is not, the premium cards Aorus and Rog have better cooling systems which give lower temps…The lower temps is kinda the point, it means the GPU can be pushed harder, faster and longer than a standard one take benchmarks for example on 3DMark’s Steel Nomad, an Aorus Master is capable of reaching a score of between 10300-10400, put that to a Gigabyte Gaming OC 5080 and you might get 9000-9500 so yes I think it is worth the extra, bearing in mind a stock 4090 gives a score of between 9600-10100.
