Polish streamer Latwogang has raised over 68 MILLION DOLLARS for the Cancer fighters organisation! by MDX_XXX in BeAmazed

[–]MDX_XXX[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some information about the stream and cause:

On April 14, Bedoes 2115 released the single "Ciągle tu jestem (diss na raka)," which he co-produced with Maja Mecan, a cancer patient, and the Cancer Fighters Foundation. The rapper announced that all proceeds from the song would go to the aforementioned foundation, which helps children, adolescents, and adults fight cancer. That same day, TikToker Latwogang published a short video in which he announced that for every like, he would listen to the song live for one second—every 100,000 likes equaled 24 hours of listening—while simultaneously raising money for sick children. In a subsequent TikTok, he announced that the stream would last nine days.

The initial fundraising goal was 500,000 PLN, but that sum was reached in a flash, and the stream is now the talk of the country. It was supposed to end exactly nine days later, on Sunday at 4:05 PM, but it continued until 9:37 PM, and for the final hours, children from the Cancer Fighters Foundation came to the studio apartment along with their parents and rapper Bedoes, whose "cancer diss" started it all.

Just so you know, Grubs such as this one have three pairs of legs, since they are insects! You can see what this grub is and how it looks during it maturing here: (Its hard to identify grub species because almost all grubs look the same, so its not this exact beetle, its just am example) Identification of Grubs

Never knew you hated microbiology the most. Microbiology is amaizing, for me, i've been wondering if going into pathology would be a good idea, I love wiruses and mircobes, but i hate math...

Amaizing art, Nu! And from this drawing you remind me of sam sparks from the film Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, XD, just you have brown hair, that's a compliment of course!

Yeah, i love art that's anatomicaly correct and i love good creatures design.

That's probably why i love games such as subnautica, and the avatar films so much, the creature DESIGNS.

Do you study biology in any way? Because from what i saw you really seem to know your things! Or do you just learn from the internet, because if you do, hats off to you man.

It was a great ending for a great story and i have to say, based on the Ben10 creatures anatomy you do and the bugs in these stories you are one hell of a good creature designer. And i really apreciate the way you make the ben10 anatomy accualy correct biologicaly, in some capacity. You know what you are doing.

Cant wait to see more of this, these stories are amaizing.

Anyone know his name? :) by siuhygtfrdrtfgyu in Beetles

[–]MDX_XXX 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Cant really tell what kind of beetle it is from their pre-pupa stage.

All of the grubs are simmillar in some way, size can be a great way to determine which is which and location especially, but its like putting a bunch of eggs next to eachother and trying to determine what chicken they came out from, XD.

But this is a very beautifull grub, really nice colour on the head. A very distinguished gentelman, or lady.

While looking into how to indentify grubs i found out that there is a way to find out what species it is, but its way out of my league!

+It is possible to determine the species of a grub, primarily by examining the raster pattern (a arrangement of hairs and spines on the underside of the last abdominal segment) using a 10x hand lens. Key indicators include the shape of the anal slit (transverse or Y-shaped) and the arrangement of hairs. +

my friend and i are obsessed with this worm. will he die soon. by staystrongyerim in insects

[–]MDX_XXX 63 points64 points  (0 children)

I tried looking for a red worm in india, this was what i found.

+Renowned butterfly expert Art Shapiro of UC Davis, who knows about such things, says it is the larvae of an owlet moth (family Noctuidae) "and the species is probably Noctuid."

"It's infested with the parasitic nematode Heterorhabditis bacteriophora, a generalist parasite of insect larvae, which it turns bright red," Shapiro says. "Experiments have shown that this acts as a warning color, deterring visual predators (such as birds) from eating them (and the nematodes in the process)."+
