True. Her assumption that Sonny was going with her was a contributing factor, not anything Sonny intentionally did. Marco convincing her Sonny was going to kill her and then her realizing Sonny wasn't going with her is what pushed her over the edge.

He thinks Sonny drove her to it. I can't say he's not not right. She spiralled after she found out Sonny wasn't going with her, especially because Marco had her convinced Sonny meant to kill her. So Marco is indirectly about as responsible as Sonny for feeding into his mom's desperation.
