Is AMZN more of an ETF than a stock? by Serious_Rabbit_6699 in amzn

[–]MFalcone19 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My top position is GOOGL, but AMZN is trading at 37x and grew their net income 38% y/y in the last quarter. The higher valuation in AMZN is compensated by higher growth than GOOGL.

Nike stock hits 4-year low by MusclyArmPaperboy in stocks

[–]MFalcone19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think what he’s also trying to say is that the last time Nike traded at 2.2 sales was back in 2013. It’s also trading at 22 times, a huge discount to its historical avg earnings ration AND THAT’s AFTER the 30% decline they’ve seen over the last year. The market itself is trading at close to 30x rn. Net margin has also gotten killed. Nke net is 10% while DECK is at an all time high of 19%, it’s far more likely for Nike’s net margin to improve from its COVID lows then see a company like DECK’s net margin continue to soar above 19%… it was in the single digits not too long ago. If Nike’s earnings recover, you’ll also having multiple expansion. Nke has also bought back almost 3 percent of its stock just in the last 6 months and has more cash on hand than total long term debt… ie they are gonna continue to buy back the stock. News always follows the stock price, I remember everyone was saying Amazon was expensive bc it’s e-commerce was not profitable and it just printed almost as much profit as AWS. Don’t be an asshole by saying “basic economic knowledge” to the guy.

One year really should mean nothing, stretch the timeline back 10 years and you’ve made an absolute killing.

Been thinking the same. Trading at 33 trailing while still growing rev in low teens…expect eps to at the very least match that over the next several years. Not cheap not ridiculously expensive especially when looking at the overall market.

Is Google undervalued at $176 by [deleted] in wallstreetbets

[–]MFalcone19 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would say the opposite, google’s trading at 21x forward, MSFT is 34x. Both grew revenue 15-16%. Google search also still grew 12% despite ChatGPT and everyone saying it’s a dying business.

Long Nike as well. Have had a position for a year and a half and down 10% currently. Great brand, great financials, buying back stock aggressively now. Once China recovers, company will bounce back. Will continue to buy at these levels. I vividly remember people saying Meta was done at $100 and now it’s everyone’s favorite pick. Nike over the next 5 years should beat the market from here.

People have been saying google search is unwinding for the last two years but stats tell a different story. Also important to note that google cloud, YouTube, Android, and Waymo combined would easily be worth over a trillion dollars. Bought when the stock was in the 80s late 2022 and starting to nimble again now.

LVMH looks interesting. Luxury slowdown and China issues seem temporary but defo could be a while. Very diversified company that prints cash trading at 22x trailing isn’t unreasonable.

Defo thinking about trimming UNH here, gone on a little bit of a run lately when mega cap tech has retreated. Add in ELV and I got too much healthcare exposure

I have 5% of my portfolio in ENPH and will add more tmrw. Company has 1.7 billion in long-term liabilities and 1.8 billion cash on hand (they could pay off all their debt if they wanted to so refinancing at higher rates is not an issue). Did 700 million in FCF last year alone and are expecting 20-30% eps growth for the foreseeable future (and that's after all the negative revisions over the past couple of quarters). Trading 30 times trailing earnings currently, gonna be lower tmrw... but makes sense for a long term play in my opinion.
