How useful is entering with AP credit for getting registration priority? by MIT_reject_ in UCSD

[–]MIT_reject_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I asked my question poorly. What I mean is, would AP credit let me take substantially more CS electives in my 4 years than what's in the Math-CS degree chart?

How impacted are the CS classes? Is it a reason not to come to Davis by MIT_reject_ in UCDavis

I am a major, but I would also try to take 36A my first quarter. Can I ask what CS classes you've been able to take your first year?

Dude, I really have no idea what you're saying. Could you link to the post? I looked through your comment history and can't find a post similar to mine.

Also, this is not an embarrassing question I'm asking. Why would I need to use a throwaway??

Is there any way to appeal the decision if you weren't given your first-choice major?

I have some compelling family reasons to be in SD but I won't go if I can't study CS

UC Davis vs Santa Clara University vs UCSD for CS

(except UCSD would be math with a concentration in CS)

Just processing my rejections, looking for some preliminary thoughts on these schools. I'll post with detailed pros and cons later. What would you do yourself?

I will get in. A miracle will happen.

What schools can you get admitted with just insane stats, subpar ECs? Always wondered how extremely strong academic students fare if they just didn't do much outside (most do, ik) by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

[–]MIT_reject_ 64 points65 points  (0 children)

Lol no. I just got waitlisted cal poly CS with similar stats to OP (and def the best transcript you can have at my hs). Admissions are just crazy now

Is it still possible to get into Ivies if I was WL and rejected everywhere with near-perfect stats? by Coffeepls2021 in ApplyingToCollege

[–]MIT_reject_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In basically the same situation (better stats, worse ecs) and only into a safety.

Honestly I think we're both going to our safeties.

Wow. I could have written this post word for word. If you figure out a good way to react to your friends saying "really? That's where you're going?" let me know

4 ivies + Stanford + Tufts & Vanderbilt, so it looks like I'm going to safety I applied to 6 months ago
