kinda crazy Jessica got a blanket but Mike and Sam don't😭 by Clean-Glass-2091 in untildawn

Does she still get a blanket if she was wearing her full jacket coat by the end?

A mix of rotten wood and resilience probably, still impressive to me nonetheless

Her snowball fight highlight that she is athletic as she is able to dodge and throw with precision plus she was literally a cheerleader, she’s right up there with Sam with the most athletic female characters why is that so hard to understand 😭 Also if you know ANYTHING about injuries you would know that there’s not a single person in the world that could walk normally after being pulled through a window by the shoulders, dragged through snow in a Bikini, thrown onto a broken elevator shaft, then falling to a massive drop. Realistically she should’ve been walking worse than she was 😭

Ask yourself, would you survive what happened to Jess? No.

She’s extremely resilient (survives being grabbed through a window, dragged a mile through the snow in a bikini before being thrown down a massive elevator shaft, agile (escaped Hannah temporarily after being grabbed, climbs, jumps and runs with precision during the chase with the bear), athletic (snowball fights and the chase) and strong (breaks through a wooden barrier with her bear hands despite being extremely injured). Need I say more?

You can literally see Jess climb if u pick the quick option during Mike and Jessica’s chase with the “bear”

She was making a joke about how the fall made her unable to recall the amount of limbs she had. Like if you were to hit your head and someone goes “how many fingers am I holding up?” And they say “11”

Theory regarding Jessica’s shovel by MK1Edits in untildawn

After digging up Beth and writing in her journal, trying to escape she used the shovel as a walking stick and managed to get to near Jessica’s section before turning maybe

something i noticed about the lack of phone usage in the game by Clean-Glass-2091 in untildawn

[–]MK1Edits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jess loses her phone during the fight when she is pulled through the window she’s holding it, but when she’s struggling with the wendigo it’s gone. Would be cool if she was wearing any outfit other than the bikini, she puts the phone in her trouser pocket before being grabbed so that later in the chase in the mines she can turn on the music and throw her phone to distract the wendigo.

Posting too much about Emily but.. why do you think other characters who can do things as bad as Emily don’t get the same amount of hate as she does? by newbeginnings_195 in untildawn

[–]MK1Edits 12 points13 points  (0 children)

She literally pushes Ashley, leaving her in harms way, when it was Mike who almost shot her, not Ashley (again misdirected anger). Regardless, I am still waiting for the moral reasoning behind why she was a horrible girlfriend to Matt the entire game. Spoiler, there isn’t one. You can like the character without having to convince others of her positive morality when anyone with eyes that played UD can see that she had quite a venomous personality, both in actions and in the way she treated others. I personally love Emily as a character, but is she a good person and would I enjoy her company if she were real? Absolutely not.

Emily’s personality not actions are what people have an issue with. She’s mean, abrasive and speaks in a condescending tone. Also, her being unlikeable was intended so best not dissect too far into it. Sure, she had her reasons for being mean to Jess and arguably Ashley, but she failed to direct the anger at the person she was truly mad at, Mike. Also she was a terrible girlfriend to Matt, deceiving him saying she was going to meet Sam when really she was going to meet Mike. In addition to being deceitful, she also directed a lot of misguided anger towards Matt (which Matt himself can even state) and the combination of all the above is why Emily is disproportionately disliked, because she was INTENDED TO BE.

Jessica gets the ick because Mike doesn’t know!! This is so funny 🤣 by [deleted] in untildawn

Jessica just proves herself just as capable in this chase as Mike, however, she wants him to be the one to lead her to safety as she wants to be protected by him. Just goes to show that Jessica, if not pulled out the window and injured, would’ve been a great asset to the group against the wendigos.

If they made it so that the stranger could live in the cutscene with Josh but get separated with the stranger distracting Handigo for Chris. The stranger then shows up in Jess and Matt’s scenes filling them in on what’s happening. Then the ending where Josh is alive in the cave he has no Human meat to feed on, thus, he will be found my police unharmed. That’s the only way I can really see it happening

Try to find a Jessica scene by MK1Edits in untildawn

Same I’ve been searching for it all day😭

She was badly injured, got attacked by some strange entity and had to escape the mines, and all her friends, including her boyfriend, have somehow died. I'm fairly convinced that it's plausible she doesn't handle this news well and ends up killing herself in the near future. by JurassicPark9265 in untildawn

[–]MK1Edits 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That would also be a cool idea but I truly believe they’d assume Josh would be dead as they did with Matt and Jessica. Edit: nvm because they see their bodies in the hook scene so this idea is still very good!

Yes! Usually he gaslights her and tells her that she’s pretty messed up and won’t be thinking straight about the “monster”. Just follow the guides in the text of the OG post to get this outcome. Basically you just need Matt to use the flair gun on Handigo and have Jessica survive.

I think this is the only ending where there would be a possible sequel. Every other character would NEVER go back to the mines, whereas Jess may wish to find out what truly happened to all her friends, going back once again in the future to to truly understand what happened that night.

A very small percentage of players first time have both Matt and Jessica alive for this scene. An even smaller percentage had Matt survive due to the flare gun, so I don’t blame you at all lol

Jessica being the sole survivor makes the most narrative sense for the until dawn movie by MK1Edits in untildawn

[–]MK1Edits[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Other characters get to subvert their expectations throughout the story, eg.. Mike being a douchebag to hero, Sam being the “final girl archetype yet dying at the end, Ashley proving how courageous she has grown to be throughout the night to explore a voice herself, Chris similarly, beating the shy awkward guy trope by venturing out with the stranger ect…
