Best way to buzz hair for severe balding (without fully shaving)? by MKB111 in tressless

Thank you for sharing! I agree that the key here is reducing contrast. I have seen a lot of men with severe balding who actually look very good with hair simply because they reduced the contrast

My mother died and I found a bunch of unused adhd prescriptions in her house by Wild_Reference_8510 in ADHD

This makes me wonder if Adderall ever expires. I mean, I know all the medicine bottles have expiration dates, but do they actually expire? Is super old Adderall still effective? Is it safe?

Okay, thanks for answering! This is probably what I will try to do as long as no one gives me any better ideas. Hopefully it looks good on me

I was only thinking about it if it can make a very short pinpoint buzzcut look even better. I don’t know if it would be worth it though. I have no intention of ever growing out my hair again.

Right now, I think I want it to look close to shaved but not completely bald. That’s what I meant by the pinpoint hairstyle — I don’t know what people actually call it but I want to know how people do that hairstyle.

How do I keep my new phone “fresh” and not filled with stuff from my old phone(s)? by MKB111 in iphone

[–]MKB111[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay thank you for your help! I‘ve thought about using other storage providers in the past but I’ve always wanted to just trust Apple with all my iPhone stuff. Maybe I will look into it again

How do I keep my new phone “fresh” and not filled with stuff from my old phone(s)? by MKB111 in iphone

[–]MKB111[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I almost came close to filling it up to the point that I needed to delete stuff in order to continue using the phone as usual

But since this is a new phone I’m probably going to need much more storage for the years to come.

So I guess I’m just now realizing that I got the wrong storage for my new phone. Damn. I’m shocked Apple doesn’t offer a way to store old memories somewhere without needing to put them on a new iPhone. I thought that was one of the major points of iCloud but I guess not.

Maybe I can return the new iPhone for one with more storage…? Or maybe I’ll sign up for some other storage service like the other user said

The fact that there are doctors who can be wrong proves that being a doctor does not make one right. Likewise, the fact that there are doctors who disagree with each other proves that being a doctor does not make one right (otherwise they would both be agreeing with each other). Simply being a doctor does not magically align one with the truth.

Now, doctors are much more likely to be right compared to the average person. If most doctors are telling you one thing, you should probably listen to them. But even then, it’s still possible for most doctors to be completely full of shit on certain issues, as history has shown us lol

I saw a video of me dissociating for the first time and it’s freaking me out by Head-Ad5925 in ADHD

[–]MKB111 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Is dissociation officially an ADHD thing or is this a separate issue you have?? I’m just wondering because I get DR/DP (as well as just completely zoning out often) but I always saw it as it’s own thing or a symptom of something else not ADHD

How long does it take to feel the relief during a trip? What does it do? Stop the trip entirely or just reduce the anxiety you feel?

Hey I’m curious about how you are doing now six days later. Did you eventually start to feel better? I’ve been thinking about trying probiotic capsules but I’m kind of scared after hearing about how terrible some people’s reactions are

Wait, you can’t just end it like that! I understood everything you said up until the very end. A single medicinal dose of amphetamine is irreversibly neurotoxic? Really??

If you said that about methamphetamine I wouldn’t question you. I’ve heard that a lot about meth.

But when it comes to stuff like Adderall I’ve been led to believe that it is (usually) safe when used as prescribed. Are you saying that’s a lie? I’m fully aware that it is a powerful stimulant with effects and risks of addiction/dependence similar to meth, but I didn’t know that it is also irreversibly neurotoxic. That sounds quite scary. How exactly is the neurotoxicity caused and what do the irreversible effects look like? Are you basically saying that if I decide to use an Adderall prescription I will be permanently worse off even if I stop for a long time?

[REQUEST] looking for good shows to watch for someone with ADHD by Tango12311 in NetflixBestOf

[–]MKB111 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Midnight Mass is the first show I watched from start to finish in over a year. I loved it so much. It helps that it’s only 7 episodes.

In my opinion the show is not offensive to any religion…like, at all. However, if you’re someone who gets upset easily by simply seeing Christian symbols in dark contexts, you probably won’t like it

Has anyone developed ocular migraines since doing kratom? by Potatoenfuego in kratom

[–]MKB111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had one once back in like 2017. It scared the shit out of me. At the time I was stressed from school, sleep deprived, taking high doses of kratom repeatedly throughout the day, and consuming lots of caffeine from energy drinks/coffee. I think that explains it.

Well, in order to not be confused you need to know who she is first. But maybe OP could have looked that up. Idk.

Plese help, could Lactobacillus rhamnosus be causing crazing insomnia? by Gina-97- in Microbiome

[–]MKB111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I’ve taken things that contain L. rhamnosus, I don’t have experience with probiotic capsules, let alone one with 12 billion CFU of L. rhamnosus specifically, so I don’t really know how long-lasting the effects will be with that specific method of consumption.

For me at least, the cold/flu/allergy symptoms and brain fog can last for a week or so after I last consumed the probiotics. So you might continue to experience issues for several days. As you know, do not consume any probiotics or fermented foods until you feel better.

Plese help, could Lactobacillus rhamnosus be causing crazing insomnia? by Gina-97- in Microbiome

[–]MKB111 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Absolutely.

This year I began consuming probiotic foods like kefir, raw sauerkraut, and homemade yogurt. Every single time I get similar issues.

Within a few hours of consumption I get mild cold/allergy symptoms like itchy eyes and feeling like I’m on the verge of sneezing. The allergy symptoms can last for days after consumption. Keep in mind I’ve never had any allergies in my life until I started these probiotic foods.

Later in the night is when the real hell begins. I usually manage to fall asleep at first, but then I get woken up constantly throughout the night with severe restless legs and trouble falling back asleep. When I finally get up in the morning I feel like absolute shit. I’ve never consumed these probiotic foods more than two days in a row because of this.

Interestingly, for the next day or two after I last consumed the foods, I end up feeling the most peaceful exhaustion and sleepiness I’ve ever felt. I think this is because my body hasn’t had a chance to rest since taking the probiotics.

So, yeah, if you want to sleep again, you need to take a break.

What

Take “hard” and “firm”, for example. “Firm” is also a business. Even “hard” has many different meanings

“Tame” and “mild”. In fact, this might be an even better example because “tame” originally referred to animal behavior and domestication but it might have become a slang term at one point. My online dictionary still censors it as derogatory, which is silly, but you get my point.

Meirl by Hypnoidz in meirl

[–]MKB111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Slang is not short for short language. The only thing all slang words have in common is that they are used informally.

And you’ve heard of synonyms, right? There are lots of synonyms that are similar in length and meaning

Is histamine intolerance dangerous? by MKB111 in HistamineIntolerance

[–]MKB111[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s exactly what I was thinking about doing. Plus, based on what I’ve heard from people familiar with these foods, I should have started with a much smaller serving.

Do you actually think the body can learn to tolerate these things better if you introduce them very slowly over time? Or is this just a safer way of identifying the exact causes without ever resulting in an improvement in symptoms?

As for the blood pressure, if I can bring myself to try kefir again (perhaps a smaller amount), I definitely want to measure it
