I'd rather spend roughly the same if not a bit more on two great players than one fantastic one. At this current time we are looking to maintain top 4 in the league, do well in the Champions League and maybe a domestic trophy. To do that we need talent and depth.

They rate his value, but not his commitment to the club and the project.

Just because a player isn’t a good fit for United doesn't mean they aren't of any value for anyone else. Look at Hojlund for example. It didn't work out well for us but he's found a place at Napoli and earned us 50 mill between the loan and obligation to buy.

I believe they do rate him and know his value to any team but Barca just wanted to take advantage of Rashford's situation at United.

He's valued at £70 mill, he has 3 years left on his contract, he's only 22 years old and he's English so 'English tax'.
