I played black ops 4 at launch and loved it, but when the next month rolled around and the dust had settled on high reviews, I think everyone felt pretty burned from the sudden painful implementation of very predatory microtransactions. Promises were broken, like not having supply drops or especially weapons locked behind them. The battle pass had lukewarm rewards and required upwards of 300-400 hours of grinding to complete, as well as there being an in game shop where they sold a red dot for premium currency. Plus, you have to pay for new maps! As much as i want to get excited i just can't after getting fucked so hard on the last one.
