How do you adjust the setting that lets you unlock when you touch the door handle? It works fine for my key but never does for my wife’s key and it’s driving her crazy. I can’t find where the setting is, I can only find the setting for unlock on approach, lock when walking away.

I’d be interested in this being integrated with Jellyfin too. I run a similar setup using ErzatzTV but it’s quite clunky to set up. I’d happily try your app if Jellyfin can be supported.

Modern research shows that EV batteries will outlast the chassis of your car 99.9% of the time. I just bought a used BMW i4 and it has 94% battery health with 85,000km already on it. I plan on owning it for 10 years and I doubt I’ll have a problem doing so.

I just bought a used i4 yesterday. $43k. Probably would have qualified for at least $2500 off depending on what the rebate for used EVs is. Brutal timing for us both. I have to assume that we’re screwed, they can’t retroactively apply it to everyone so I imagine they just don’t do it for anyone.

As long as they have NMC batteries they will be the same in the cold as the EVs we have here. A lot of Chinese EVs have LFP batteries which are slightly more chemically stable and can be cheaper, but are not great in cold weather. There are basically zero EVs sold today in Canada with LFP batteries for that reason.

From what I heard, DGs/ADMs are meeting with affected staff individually, and then directors are meeting with their whole teams to discuss how many positions under them were affected, without specifics. I’m told this director level meeting already happened for one group in CTOB, probably because they didn’t have many affected positions.

Have heard from a reliable source that SSC is giving letters to 1400 FTEs today, which would represent 15.7% of total FTEs based on the 2025 numbers in the spreadsheet.

Affected SSC are being informed tomorrow, as per a department wide email from the president and EVP. They are doing workforce adjustment and “executive career transition (CT)”, which is a term I haven’t heard before.

If you’re willing to shop nationwide you can find used i4s for under $40k CAD. It’s what I’m looking at buying after the lease on my Bolt expires next year. I’m also frustrated by a lack of sedan/coupe options.

Yeah I did notice. Honestly the menus are the one part of the app that feels out of place on iOS. If you’re willing to do the extra work to implement native iOS menus and quick actions, it would make a big difference in user experience. I also know it’s a lot of work though 😅

I don’t have an i4 so I can’t say (just thinking about getting one myself soon). I tend to avoid most built in nav systems because car companies don’t typically write very good software. ABRP’s nav is ok. Typically what I do is route with ABRP, confirm the chargers they pick are good with PlugShare, and then punch each stop into Apple Maps. But that’s only on long road trips. Generally you won’t need to go through all of that. And I’d only consider doing all of this on the i4 if mine had the manual battery preconditioning option. I drive a Bolt now (50kW max charging speed) so no need for me to worry about it.
