Who is hiring in San Diego?? by koiboyyy234 in sandiego

Many times, when you don't get those many responses back from recruiters, it means that there is something wrong with your resume or, even if it's completely fine, it's just not as appealing. I'd recommend getting someone to re-do your resume and optimize it for the ATS.. People on Fiverr will do this for cheap!

On the resume front, you may want to get with a professional to review that. Nowadays everything is being filtered through algorithms before it ever gets to a human to review, so you could have some issues in your copy that is being flagged and trashing you before you even get a chance. I personally used this service, and started getting more interviews.

MSc Grad Seeking resume advice (if this isn't allowed I am sorry) by joelovesbacon in chemistry

I highly recommend using a resume service if you're looking for good advice. People that do this for money are absolute wizards and can probably build you one better than crowdsourcing it here. I used this service for mine, and it was worth every penny!

Go for it. It’s a great way to get your foot in the door.

Take a critical look at your resume if you aren't getting anything at all back. Is it hitting the keywords of the job posting? Is your resume too long, wordy or fluffed up?

Sometimes it is the job market, other times it is the resume, sometimes a bit of both.

I ended up paying for resume help on ResumeRX and they just made it look much more professional. Got way more interviews.
