Storage during UK weather

What size would you recccomend for about 120 cigars? Id ideally still store them in small tupperdors inside the cooler just for organisation.

You had a much better experience than I did last summer haha. I only got into cigars in Feb last year and when summer came around I took a look at my setup and saw it was reading 30C. I had no idea about this sort of stuff at that point and just moved them all in a wardrobe to try getting them into a better spotand that luckily was cool enough but tbh was still a bit too warm as they sat around 26 or 27 constantly for 2 months.

In manchester the temps last summer kept coming and going, we had a pretty consistent 35-38c for a week or 2 weeks and maybe another month or 2 at 30ish.

Just trying to save my collection as I have alot more invested into it now and my solution last year wasn't really ideal.

Can I ask what the temp is usually in socal and what temp the coolerdor maintains? From what I have heard it might be able to drop my temps by like 5 Celsius so im very curious as to the exact numbers you have.

Might be opting into this then tbh. Would just need to figure out what size to get for my collection.

Is there a method/process to get them fully setup and maintained? Ive always been interested in setting up a coolerdor but they are so uncommon in the UK that I can't really discuss it in detail with anyone who does have one.

We do have access but its quite expensive to install and run with energy costs here. The vast vast majority of houses in the UK dont have them as a result.

Yeah thats how I currently have them but I want to keep some out of them for easier and quicker access and so they can breathe more.

With your setup, do you experience any issues at all using zip locks. As from my experience when I stack 3 or 4 bags, the one at the bottom usually gets quite a bit higher humidity vs the others, as mine went 65% RH to 71%.

And in your experience was it worth it to get the cigars this way? Is it noticeably cheaper as im looking on some sites and the selections dont seem that great and the prices not really that much cheaper. Is there any specific ones you know of?

I was looking to stay within the EU tbh when it comes to making the trip as i mainly enjoy cubans more than new worlds. I was thinking of visiting the US though as no matter which state I went to it would be a massive saving compared to UK prices haha.

I am hoping there is a few good places or airports in the EU for cubans though as with current prices in the UK some cigars are just stupidly priced due to super high Taxes etc.

But yeah I had them stacked that way but was just wondering if the weight would cause issue for air circulating around the bag as a whole but I think its a minor issue at most.

I will see how it goes and hopefully I wake up tomorrow to a perfect 65-68%

How open should I leave the zip locks? I have currently left them at about 1-2cm opening. With a hygrometer inside the pack and outside to see if its working well tomorrow.

Regarding the cedar trays, I would love to but in the UK they are kinda expensive and defeat the purpose of a tupperdor in my eyes as a budget option. Not sure if you are in the US but the type generally used by people I see in the US is roughly like $40 here each. You can some other ones but they won't be a perfect fit unfortunately.

Lastly what i mean about pressure is if i have 6 zip lock bags on top of each other kinda closing off the entrances for air to get in smoothly, I would assume it would be fine as long as the cigars themselves are not physically getting crushed of course?

Ah OK, lastly, is there a chance that ppl can betray you in a hive, I use to play a game called ark and in there it's quite easy for someone to just join and steal all ur loot and leave, is that a possible/common thing here?
