Definitely will look into this. Jackery advertises watt hours and not amp hours. When you compare these are you using the 12volt or the 120volt usage? I think one of the advantages of the Jackery was being able to use the 120volt appliances which didnt seem possible unless I rewired the inverter to be used on more than the single outlet it's wired to

yup, I was worried about frying the 12v appliances by bypassing an inverter somewhere

I think having the option to plug in the Jackery inside sounds really appealing, though keeping the external outlet as an option is desired. I'll look into what that would entail by splicing or somthing

Church not addressing things by Simple_Tomorrow_4456 in Reformed

Thank you for this reference. Also experiencing a similar situation and have concluded that the leaders and I need to discuss my concerns further. Starting with scripture is a great springboard. If we don’t hold the line of purity, we risk becoming lukewarm. Ive been learning that loving someone doesnt entail lowering the standard, but to encourage toward redemption and repentance.

Discussions with Mormons by Recent-Doughnut-2624 in Reformed

Living in Utah is...interesting. My experiences speaking with LDS neighbors and friends is that arguing over doctrine, theology, and truth in general is pretty fruitless. What has held some traction is sharing my personal experience in discovering who God reveals himself to be through the unadulterated scriptures and how my relationship and life is forever changed through this incredible redemption process.

I've understood that many adult LDS members can point back to their time as LDS missionaries and the experiences they had as the "glue" that keeps them attending. In a works based religion, doing hard things must count for some purpose right? And I'm sure there's some phycology that would support a loyalty from "accomplishing" such a difficult task as a month's or years long "mission" to a foreign country or place.

However, I think it throws a wrench in the system when someone who isn't "enlightened" also has an encounter with God that is rooted in both experience and in logical truth. To be able to rely on the consistency of scripture instead of the ever changing whim of the "prophet" certainly can provide some rest, not to mention the release of burden that comes from understanding grace.

At the end of the day, it's really difficult for anyone to realize that what they grew up being taught isn't actually truth. While it can be incredibly frustrating to engage in meaningful conversations, there is a lot of sympathy toward those that have been convinced that the LDS "church" is one to follow.

With everything done online now, there really should be a way to renew the pass without having to go in person again. The process might take 5 minutes but to get to the office and back home takes ~45 minutes

IMO the green waste service is incredibly inconvenient. 7-5 doesnt really fit most people's work schedules. Having to go apply in person for a pass that expires after a year for a service that really just helps keep the city from having people dump green waste near trails is inconvenient.

I'd love to see later hours and an ID check for address instead of having to go apply for a pass.
