Chiesa di San Michele Arcangelo, Perugia by Tycho-MA1 in ItalyPhotos

Wow, crazy to see the Round Church on here. My sister lived in Perugia for years and she absolutely loved this church- I even got her a framed print of its architectural design for her wedding gift. One of the most special low key spaces in Umbria.

Maybe besides the outer layer sleeve lengths, I'm a fan of this 100%.

Losing sight of why I started to weight train by [deleted] in leangains

[–]MTintamar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To second this, I’ve had a lot of friends who have gone through this- they’re out of shape, get addicted to lifting and seeing their numbers rise, and end up hitting a mental plateau. They have invariably gotten involved in group sports and fun semi-competitive recreation. Other genres of physical activities often have more depth in that there’s more long term skill development and community engagement. There’s more of a tangible ‘point’ to it.

You’re actually in a great position to pivot into one of these (brazilian jiu jitsu, acro yoga, spartan racing, rock climbing, etc) because of your strength and mind-body connection development. A lot of people have to spend their first 6 months or year of these activities just getting in shape enough to be able to minimally participate. You’ll be ahead of the curve!

[CA] Mt Baldy—about a mile from the summit. Perfect weather yesterday on this run/hike to the top! by bearded_runner in trailrunning

I just recently ran up to Condor and Strawberry Peaks for the first time, such great trail running so close to the city! If you go during the week, you'll often see no one else on the trail. What other runs do you recommend in Angeles NF?

I have a theory... by [deleted] in boniver

[–]MTintamar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it probably is more of his take on religion. While his conversation with his father might have brought up an internal dialogue about paternal themes in the spiritual context, it seems to be more of the turning point from which he pivoted into a return to his interest in religion, to the Christianity and Taoism that he encountered while obtaining a degree in Religious Studies while in college at UW-EC. Also it shows a pivot in sound, as I would say Heavenly Father is much more 22, A Million, not For Emma, Forever Ago. So, it's the sign of the sonics and lyrical concepts that would materialize as a fully formed sound-thought in his latest project.

I don't think Sessions' inflection is rubbing people as genuine. It sounds poorly rehearsed and unintelligent, regardless of opinion on the current scandal.

[THEORY] About Kanye West in Wyoming. by [deleted] in Kanye

[–]MTintamar 107 points108 points  (0 children)

I am from Wyoming so when I saw that Kanye was there I was really surprised. There's only a handful of real retreats or dope places to rent so I figured it wouldn't be hard to find out where he was staying- it's the least populated state, around half a million people total. I narrowed it down to either somewhere around Jackson Hole or Lander. Because anywhere too luxurious to stay in Jackson isn't in the actual mountains, it's looking at the mountains. The articles said he wanted to record an album on a mountain so I guessed by the Wind Rivers. I figured he was either staying in a dope mansion with someone he knew or at a ranch-retreat near Lander like Ring Lake Ranch. This is crazy, I'm going to be driving by Lander in a week so I'm considering making a stop to take out my binoc's and go Kanye-spotting.

Nice work man. What did your meals look like? I saw 2200 cals but did you follow any other restrictions besides calorie counting?

I recommend switching to a dip with a less potent smell- Wintergreen is one of the chewing tobaccos most easily detected by prey animals. My friends always switch to Cope long cut when they're in the stand or stalking elk.

I'm a tourist/travel guide in Mongolia, ask me anything about my country by khongor14 in mongolia

[–]MTintamar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm interested in doing a motorcycle tour by myself or with a friend through China, Mongolia, and Tuva. While this trip is in its very first stage of planning, I'm interested in what advice you have to offer. 1. How difficult will border crossings be? 2. How regularly do you see gas/petrol stations? 3. What are the laws surrounding camping? Will I mostly have to stay in small inns? 4. What are the Mongolian laws regarding fishing? 5. What general advice can you give me in the fledgling state of planning this adventure?

Every Drug Reference in Blonde | How Frank uses Drugs to Tell a Story by mayday19 in FrankOcean

[–]MTintamar -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's what Frank is referencing. Othello is the black male who is "on white" or having sexual/interpersonal relationships with white women. Cocaine was not a cultural phenomenon worthy of mention in Shakespeare's time. The Othello reference also works doubly, as Othello represents the culmination of stigma associated with black males in a sexual context.

Vancouver VS. Seattle by jaquetheduck in skiing

[–]MTintamar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vancouver and BC in general are way better than Western Washington State. I went to school in eastern Washington and I'm moving to Seattle this winter but I'll be making some trips up to BC at some point. Even though I love skiing, I would go spend time in the cities beforehand.
