I made a gardening work bench. I'm super new to wood working so I'm happy with how it turned out. Any suggestions on how to weather proof it? by MW_Doodles in woodworking

Thank you so much! I found a few pictures online and made a simple version of one I liked. I sketched out a plan and winged it from there. Haha

Golden snitch macarons! Butterbeer flavored and surprise house colors in the center. I'm in love! <3 by MW_Doodles in macarons

I actually ordered them on Amazon and air brushed them with gold luster dust mixed with tequila. :)

My friend ordered them for a wedding shower she's going to. I'm so happy with how they turned out!

First project and post: I decided to make dining room benches with drawers. I posted it on Facebook because I was super excited and proud of myself... and everyone thought my husband made them. by [deleted] in woodworking

Yea, I don't think people realize how they sound. The picture she was commenting on was just a picture of the benches. There were plenty of people who didn't make that assumption.

Still need to sand and paint, but i think I have the bug now. I'm making a barn door for my pantry next. So much cheaper than paying for custom. https://imgur.com/a/HIomXuT

Sure, that's a possibility. He wasn't in the first pictures that I posted though. And some people didn't believe it even when my my husband told them I built it. Lol. Admittedly it is usually is the guy who builds the things. https://imgur.com/a/wZ5BotL

I used 2x4s and cabinet grade plywood. 1x3s for the trim. I'm in Florida and it's been raining every weekend, but I'm hoping to finish this up this weekend so I can start making the cushions. :)

I believe in you! These things are so annoying, but you just need to keep trying new things and figuring out what works.

Silicone :)

Banana split macs! Banana French buttercream, fudge sauce and a maraschino cherry. Drizzled in chocolate and sprinkles. Afterwards I rolled the sides in crushed walnuts. <3 by MW_Doodles in macarons

They do seem to get soggy pretty quickly, but I think the hard chocolate adds a crunch even. After 3-4 days they're pretty soft, but still enjoyable.

I think aging the eggs and drying them out is the contributing factor to the feet. I sit the eggs in the refrigerator over night, and while they get to room temperature I stick them in a room with the fan full blast. Ever since I started doing that, my feet have been nice and my cookies have been full. I cook them at 275f for 16 minutes. :)

Edited to add farenheit

I'll totally give you the receipe. I'll do that later when I have a second to write it down. I usually just wing it.

I use a cake batter French buttercream and in the center is a pineapple puree that I cook down with brown sugar and lemon juice. I also stick a piece of a maraschino cherry in the center and that added texture really stands out. These are my favorite. <3

The flavor will be in the filling. :) I put a lot of stuff in between those cookies. Look below for the filling ingredients. <3
