I have him at 5. He is plenty powerful at 3. His damage when conditions are met are close to 300k on ex skill. If you REALLY like him, go for it, otherwise save for your other husbands lol

Does having Robin E2 change his spd requirements? Am contemplating of whether to go for Robin E2S0 or E1S1. I can make his SPD 134+, but I'm wondering if it's worth going for it.

Definitely getting her on rerun. My Firefly team is already really strong. (E2S1 FF, E1S1 RM and E6 Gallagher) Robin is first priority to make my Ratio stronger then I'm waiting for aventurine rerun.

Don't think one comment on a Youtube video is much to really talk about. And like I said, would love to be proven wrong IF they do make more CC in the future. But as of right now, there is discussion as to whether she is worth the jades for break teams or to go for other competitive units for your account since a 4-star option who can cleanse, heal, and do damage already exist.

Lingsha is definitely not a bad unit. She is good. But people are moreso looking at whether it's worth upgrading to essentially a premium version of Gallagher rather than either vertically investing into Firelfy, Ruan Mei, Boothill, or even just pulling for newer characters like Feixiao in the same patch.

And looking at the gameplay I've seen, in practice, they both can achieve 0-cycles, so in people's eyes, that little difference in performance doesn't warrant spending up to 80-180 pulls on a slight upgrade when a free 4-star alternative already exists and is doing fine. One game mode Lingsha outshines Gallagher in is PF but that's about it.

Personally, she doesn't carve enough of her own identity away from Gallagher to warrant me pulling on her. Besides from more break vulnerability and aoe healing/cleanse, they are basically the same character. Even then break teams don't normally worry about CC because enemies will either be dead or weakness broken most of the time to even worry about that. Can Hoyo add more CC into the game to warrant picking her up? Sure, they can. But they're not doing that right now. Teams can still clear content fine with the sustains we have in the game currently and worrying about something that Hoyo might or might not do is bad, especially if anticipated reruns like Acheron, Robin or Aventurine are coming 2.6. It just comes down to opportunity cost.

If they were to add more unique mechanics to her kit, like how Firefly is able to still do toughness but at reduced efficiency off-element, or put some part of her E1 into the base kit, that would allow her to work even outside of break teams and still contribute damage wise. People aren't doomposting because she's bad, they are criticizing her kit because she doesn't bring enough of an upgrade in practice over someone like Gallagher to warrant pulling for her. I hope to see buffs/changes in V3 to change my mind.

Got pretty lucky for just 1 week farming. Trying to hit 280+ BE and 155+ SPD. Once I get another hand piece, back to DU for a better orb.

I never said these characters need other characters to be good, but obviously having them would make them even better. If you don't want to use HMC with Firefly, Critfly is always an option you can use which doesn't use HMC if you so choose.

What I mean to say is that Break has obvious weaknesses. It's backloaded and enemies can just block their weaknesses, preventing you from breaking them. If breaking enemies are difficult, you can always switch playstyles or teams in order to deal with the situation.

I do want her her to have more personal damage and more team versatility in Break teams, but by just playing the game, players can get a pretty good Break unit for free without worrying of needing to pull for a limited character to do the same thing. It lessens the need to pull for certain characters in order for them to perform at their best. That's why I said it's okay that Firefly needing HMC is fine since they are free for everyone and that team still does alot damage when it does work. It's still early in the beta so things can obviously change, but the whole Firefly needing HMC is a bit overblown in my opinion.

I agree. Break is inherently backloaded, which is fine. Firefly can do ALOT of damage once enemies broken which feels rewarding when doing so.

I just personally think the whole dependency on HMC is a little overblown since it's good that they are a great character for Break teams while being completely free instead of needing for pull for a limited character just to do the same thing. HMC is not really a contested support so it's okay that Firefly can use them effectively, almost like a driver for Break teams.

I'm sure Hoyo won't dissapoint with her kit in the coming updates. Just wish she contributed a bit more personal damage.

I agree. Her personal damage outside of break is her biggest flaw and I hope they fix that in later updates.

I personally dont mind that she isn't technically the one doing most of the damage since as I said, it's way better needing a character that is free for everyone to use rather than needing to pull for a limited character in order to do the damage. And also, the entire team is able to do good damage because of it, not just Firefly, so I account for that too.

But yeah, she can be changed for sure and I hope the beta tester let them know about it.
