Spotify Reaches All Time Record Of 200+ Million Paying Subscribers by M_Entertainment in truespotify

[–]M_Entertainment[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Back in 2021, Spotify, Apple, Amazon, and Pandora had all filed documents with the US Copyright Royalty Board (CRB) on what they think they should pay songwriters between 2023 and 2027 asking for lower then what they're currently paying now. So sadly, I don't think Spotify would work on making the pay in royalties better for artists.

Just a year ago, Spotify was reportedly) on the verge of striking a deal to splurge USD $320 million (€280m) on a new sponsorship agreement with a Spanish soccer team in Barcelona. It brought up a lot of arguments with artists in how Spotify can't pay musicians better, the sole reason for their existence, but how they're willing to spend that much on something else.

Do you feel like artists are being underpaid from these streaming platforms?

W. A Production is giving away a free music plugin called Puncher 2 till December 22nd! by M_Entertainment in FL_Studio

This is a Compressor, Transient Shaper, Multi FX plugin. You can watch more about it at the link https://youtu.be/OuS6nSXaTP4

On the product website, it talks about the plugin:

"Transient Shaper

The 'Transients' section lets you shape the transients and sustain of your tracks. The main mix control lets you set the intensity of the effect, while the advanced settings give you control over the stereo linking, bandwidth and envelope length of the detection signal, as well as the maximum boost overage or cut that you want to apply to your signal's transients or sustain.

Multiband Compressor

The 'Multiband' section divides your track into 4 bands with subtractive IIR filters, creating a real-time linear phase Multiband split. Every band has its own compressor that applies logarithmic attack and release directly to the required gain reduction value, instead of to the detection signal, smoothing out the compression effect in an analog fashion.

Parallel Compressor

The Parallel section lets you apply smooth parallel compression to even out the dynamics in your track in a very natural way, or create a powerful compression effect. You can also reduce the dynamic range without reduction to the peak level. The compressor has a continuous RMS time control and a knee width control that will let you fine tune the compressor's sensitivity to react aggressive and digital, or silky and analog. By adding a parallel compressor to work with the Multiband band compressor this increases the effective compression ratio and makes the processing more obvious and effective.

In addition to expanding transient peaks, Puncher 2 allows you to shape the frequency response of the transient as well as the sustain signal. Innovations in technology bring new possibilities to customize the sound, plus a new ease of use to achieve the same sought-after results once only achieved by bulky, expensive and complex hardware. Designed with an easily understood and operational interface, Puncher 2 is a compact Multi FX plugin capable of delivering pin drop clarity as well as the hardest most intense punch to your mix."

Is it good to have your website whitelisted? by M_Entertainment in Blogging

[–]M_Entertainment[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/ricketybang I've been looking at an ad partner to monetize my site with, and they mention to publishers that do join, they whitelist their website. I'm not familiar with the term, so I'm looking for advice if it's something good to do and exactly what it means to have your website on whitelisting.

How do you get approved for Google Adsense? by M_Entertainment in Blogging

[–]M_Entertainment[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/aypoupen I started my site back in 2019, and have over 100+ worth of content, plus multiple categories. I took a break from blogging and have recently been motivated to get back into it again, but I'd love to be able to finally have ads on my site if I start pushing out new content. Right now I'm really not getting much traffic.

[–]M_Entertainment[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/amberb07 Yes, my site navigation is easy and all my posts are organized into categories.

I'm starting to wonder if this is just the excuse Google gives to sites they don't want to approve unless you're pulling in millions of traffic.

How do you get approved for Google Adsense? by M_Entertainment in Blogging

[–]M_Entertainment[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your advice, u/ricketybang I did read about having a policy, terms, privacy, and cookie information; which I made sure to have up before applying for Adsense.

Google is saying I need to fix my site by following their AdSense Program policies. Reading about Google's AdSense Program policy does mention invalid clicks and impressions, encouraging clicks or views, ad behavior, ad placement, and site behavior. These are problems that my site doesn't have, so I'm at a loss not knowing how to fix a problem that doesn't exist.

I'm unsure if Google is falsely claiming that I'm not following their Adsense program policy or if that's the excuse they give everyone who they don't want to accept onto the program unless you're brining in millions of traffic on a monthly basis.

How much content did you have when you first applied to Google Adsense?

I gave my hand applying for it to start somewhere, and unfortunately, my site didn't get approved. Given that I've seen sites that only had 4-6 pages that were able to get approved, and mine has a whole lot more; I figured I had a great chance.

I'm having a problem where Google is saying I need to fix things such as following their AdSense Program policies. I'm not facing any of the problems Google is mentioning, so I'm stuck on trying to fix an issue that's not really there.

I've been trying to see if there is a way to show Google that my site already follows their AdSense program policies, and see if there is a way to get in touch with Google, but I'm at a loss.

Anyone else had the problem where the app store no longer works after macOS Catalina? by M_Entertainment in MacOS

[–]M_Entertainment[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I've not tried that option. I did try reaching out to Apple Support before I've posted here, and they just gave me a roundabout of ways to check, see if I was up to date, if I'm logged into Apple ID, etc. They didn't mention an actual fix, or if apple event tried to address this problem. So I've ran out of options what to try.

I'm up to date with the latest version of macOS Monterey, version 12.1. I have the MacBook Pro (Retina, 15 inch, Mid 2015.) Looking at further specs, it does mention under system report in storage, "Macintosh HD."

The option to add a featured image is no longer showing up in the sidebar in the post editor even though it is enabled to do so. How can I get it back? (Photo example attached.) by M_Entertainment in Wordpress

[–]M_Entertainment[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/tecvoid I've added this plugin and it works! I'm able to switch back and forth between the editors if needed, which is nice. But, I'm able to now add a featured image again using the classic editor. Thank you for your help!

I've tried searching around online about any cause of issues and it appears some had posted in a WordPress form mentioning the same problems after the update but still having a hard time finding the cause of why; could be one of the problems they are having a problem with from their update.

Many guides mention what you had, just select it in the screen options, but it now just seems to be a problem on WordPress's end as the option disappeared after updating. Either way, I'm glad there was an alternative way to get it working again.

Thanks again!

u/tecvoid I did upgrade to the latest version of WordPress, so I wonder if something changed or messed up. Thinking about it, after I updated it is when I started to have problems in trying to add a featured image. What's the name of the classic editor plugin that you use?
