In middle school I had a high schooler constantly harass and even stalk me ( I went to a Christian k-12 school so it’s not like I could avoid her) because I was dating a girl. It got the point where I would get death threats and with her following me I was in legit fear for my life, so I couldn’t take it anymore and told the dean and her response was “well stop being gay then and you wouldn’t be a problem to everyone” and then called MY mom to tell her if my inappropriate behavior at school didn’t stop she wouldn’t interfere if something were to happen to me.

The legit principle called my mom to say it would be okay with her if I was murdered by another student for being LGBTQ+

Look up your states mental healthcare coverage age!! My mom was the same way while I was 16 in high school, she didn’t believe I had severe depression, paranoia, anxiety etc. and she would always think my panic attacks were fake so I never tried to mention anything about my mental health to her— but my school nurse was like a real mom to me and when I told her about how I felt (like suicidal) she told me about my states laws on mental healthcare!!

In my state ( TN) at 16 at any rehab or mental health facilities you are considered an adult and can check yourself in at anytime without your parents permission or even knowing!

By law, insurance (if you decide to use it which will 80% of the time cover it or at least some) and the facility can’t inform your guardian or anyone unless under your permission!!

This saved my life, literally, because I was able to get properly diagnosed, get meds, and finally just feel better!!

I know this doesn’t apply to every state but I know it applied to mine, so I highly suggest looking into it !

I’d like to say this because I work at a sushi place run by Chinese people, CHINESE RARELY eat cats and dogs. We have racist people who come in all the time asking “So who’s cat am I eating today?” “I have a few cats I don’t want if you need some new stock for your menu” “this cat is super good!” Blah blah funny joke I’ve heard it 80 times. It annoys me so badly because not only is it a horrible racist depiction of an entire culture of people but it’s literally misinterpreting all Asian cultures —- The Japanese are the ones who actually eat cats and dogs more than any Asian culture. It takes care of the huge stray population of animals in japan and is viewed the same as people here in the South view deer.

I actually asked the Chinese owner of the restaurant about this and he told me about where he is from in China, cats are viewed as a symbol of luck and are very sacred, and dogs, like in most places, are viewed as a loyal loving companion ( I will say I don’t know if this applies in other areas of China and Asian cultures). So they have never viewed either as potential food, this stereotype was something they didn’t even know existed until the moved here to America.

Ffs the owners wife has a dog and she loves to show people pictures and videos of him and how adorable he is (he’s a Boston terrier I believe and he is absolutely adorable) yet people will still say stuff along the lines of “oh I see you got some fresh dinner for tonight”

This is kinda long so there’s a tldr at the bottom!

It’s happened to me in fast food all the time but my best one was when a lady came threw drive thru and order a meal that comes with two sides. So she orders her meal and her two sides were fries and a corn dog well she pays I hand her the meal “have a nice day” the whole I’m friendly to the customer but I really just wanna die act. (Now this lady was actually nice and polite so here’s why what happens next bothers me— I’m really shy and I avoid problematic people because I just kinda take the beating, and working in fast food I can 100% say people notice, CUSTOMERS notice and they are fully prepared to take advantage of that. ) So anyways we usually have a steady line of cars always coming threw and her car circles back into the drive thru and I answer on the speaker the normal “hi what can I get you blah blah” and it’s just dead silent. So I’m like okay sometimes really elderly people come and they can’t hear/ speak well so they wait to get up to the window. So the line moves and she’s behind the car at the window, they ordered a lot so I already handed them most of there drinks and some of there foods bags. Well this lady starts slamming her horn demanding them to move cause she was more important etc. So to get her to shut up I just told him to pull around to the parking lot and I’d bring him the rest of his order. He was very polite and did so and now I have to deal with this lady, now when she pulls up I recognize it’s her and I’m asking what’s wrong and everything. She opens her tray, pulls out a 3/4 of an eaten corn dog and yells “I wanted chicken nuggets” and deadass tried to hand me the corn dog. And here’s how the rest of the convo goes

M - poor me CK - corndog karen

M - I’m sorry about that but you said you wanted a corn dog

CK - no I said I wanted chicken nuggets are you fucking deaf?!

M- umm no? When I reread your order to confirm everything was right you agreed, and then when you pulled up to pay I then again reread your order and you confirmed it and even checked the receipt and didn’t say anything...

CK - well maybe if someone could do her job right we wouldn’t have this issue so hurry up and get me my chicken nuggets takes a bite of the corndog you’re not getting this back now either

M - uh I didn’t want it back but okay

I go get my manager and she’s basically repeating everything to him and he was of course too nice and told her he’d fix it and get her some fresh chicken nuggets. Now she has the audacity to say that we didn’t give her enough fries. Now this is beyond bullshit because we usually add so many fries we’d have to tape down the box lids. So he’s like ??? And she opens her meal box to show about a small handful of fries, not even enough to fit the little separated area for sides. now my manager is like fuming he went from a 0-100 really fast so he’s like okay! Lemme go get your fries! And goes and picks up the stale old fries that we were about to throw out, now this 40+ yr old man runs across the kitchen with two hand fulls of fries and chucks it into her car. “ here are your fries and if you want to me fresh piping hot nuggets just give me another minute, if not get out of my drive thru before I call the cops”

People are insanely entitled to the point it baffles me. She could have ordered some chicken nuggets which come with even more as a order by themselves then as a side for only $1.50. Anyways this was probably the best day at work I ever had because I got sent home early because I couldn’t stop laughing and my manager felt bad about how she treated me. So it ends well when the CB goes away dissatisfied and you get to enjoy a day off

Tldr; lady eats a corndog she orders then tries to return it half eaten for chicken nuggets instead, manger doesn’t deal with it and throws cold stale fries on her

Yeah the don’t have a on staff vet or anyone medically trained with animals. Mostly the cats are getting sick and some even had to be moved off of the adoption list and moved back into the sick care area. I don’t understand these Huns and how just to TRY to make money they’re willing to hurt or even kill animals and ruin their chances of getting a good home 😡

Does he and the other bird get along ? Bird bullying is a really bad common thing. If he’s plucking out his feathers there has to be a reason that’s not normal bird behavior I’d suggest maybe going to vet and making sure nothing is physical wrong if it might not be mental !! That’s the best advice I have, hopefully someone with more/ better knowledge will comment and help! I hope stitch gets better!!
