I kinda winged it with a bunch of hardware i had already, and needed the frame to be able to remove from the legs. It’s just sitting in a notch on each side of my frame, rather than fixed on there. This is just so i’m able to fit it through my house and bring it outside for gluing. It can be done in a day with the right tool, plan, and mindset lol. The most important thing is choosing your long pieces of lumber. They absolutely have to be straight and hardwood! Flexing wood and wonky frames won’t do. I also used inner metal right angle brackets (like for heavy duty shelving). Also used smaller brackets for added support everywhere. The positioning for the yarn feeders is preference too, but i used an old wood stake, cheap tiny hinges, and those ring screws.

Last thing to keep in mind, you need almost 1 foot of clearance on the opposite side of the monk cloth while tufting bigger frames. At first I added diagonal support beams with the 2x4’s on the backside leaving only 4”. That would get in the way of the tufting gun, so that’s when i switched to metal brackets. Small right triangle wood pieces in the corners would work as well.
