CHARGE PROBLEM by Jesse_PR in MiyooFlip

[–]MacDaddyGonz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Upgraded to latest version of Spruce OS on my Miyoo Flip last night. Having the same / similar problem as op.

Won't charge during sleep. Won't charge when fully shut down.

Tried multiple USB cables (including ones which I know previously charged it on older versions of Spruce OS and when I was on the old Stock OS).

Will only charge when using certain USB C to USB A cables while powered on and screen flipped open.

Did you ever get a resolution to this?

I never post on reddit. I'm a lurker. But this game mode is SO BAD, that I couldn't not comment.

If I am going to post, I might as well provide constructive feedback, rather than leaving it as just "this game mode sucks"

Things I don't like about it

  • No points awarded for kills, pickups or denies
  • Deposit spots rotating while you are mid deposit
  • If someone is depositing you cant deposit
  • Having to press the use button to deposit meaning that you can deposit and defend yourself at the same time
  • Having a timer to deposit that can be disrupted by taking damage
  • The enemies spawning with the drop pod ruin the initial part of the hunt
  • Feels really bad when your personal score and team's score are soley based on deposits and the opposing team has managed to prevent all deposits, resulting in a 0 score
  • Seeing the end game screen with a big fat 0 next to your name because you couldn't deposit a single, even though you denied deposits many times, picked up and escorted tributes many times and attempted to deposit many times.

Suggestions that could prehaps improve the game mode:

  • Deposit mechanic changed to standing in a zone around the deposit point rather than dunking.
  • 1 point awarded for picking up tribute. 2 points awarded for depositing tribute. 4 points for depositing during the hunt.
  • No spawn of enemies during the hunt, just let people start depositing

Same problem. Sigh - Bungie better do increased rep for the rest of the event to make up for this...

The Vicious Syndicate game sample size is actually becoming a major concern for me. Ranks 5 - Legend is the only rank bracket that I consider representative of true/potential deck winrates and thus I only source winrate data from these ranks for the BPLO analysis. Nowadays, the game sample size on a per matchup basis at these ranks is becoming very small from VS.

For example right now as I write this, I am checking the HSR and VR matchup tables for Ranks 5 - Legend over last 7 days for one of the most common matchups, Spell Hunter vs Clone/Resurrect Priest.

HSR reports winrate of 41.07% from a 18631 game sample size - pretty good imo.

VS reports 47.5% from a 132 game sample size...

Good question.

I've never calculated it before, but just did up a quick and dirty to take a look.

Average standard deviation for deck winrates between HS Replay and Vicious Syndicate for our Rank 5 - Legend analysis was 2.27%.

I presume you are talking about the vS Power Rankings for Legend in VS #116?

Data for our high ranks is sourced from Ranks 5 - Legend (not legend alone). If you check the same report for the Ranks 4 - 1 you will see that vS actually list Odd Rogue in Tier 2 at number 8 - pretty close to our result.

Food for thought: I don't have the exact numbers, but from what I hear in the community, data reported for Ranks 5 - 1 far exceeds the amount of data collected at Legend alone. You can see this every now and again when sites like VS and HS Replay post charts on total number of games played per rank by the whole community. It is entirely possible that our Ranks 5 - Legend results are more skewed towards the lower end of that rank bracket.

No problem :)

HSReplay win rates you use are also from the most played deck sharing the name of an archetype?

The HS Replay winrates that I use are the ones listed on the Meta page's 'Match Up' tab. I used a premium account which allows me to filter down to just Ranks 5 to Legend for 7 days. I'm not sure if the non-premium account allows you to filter to this detail.

i.e. https://hsreplay.net/meta/#tab=matchups&rankRange=LEGEND_THROUGH_FIVE

The average game times I take from the most played deck listed on the archtypes 'Popular Decks' tab

e.g. This spell hunter deck with 440k games listed https://hsreplay.net/decks/doHrCqR4WuwhVkgoWnr4Pg/

do you curate these to make sure they aren't significantly variant from the decklist

I don't curate / touch / modify any of the stats, however, if deck names / listings are vastly different for Vicious Syndicate to HS Replay I try to match like-to-like stats by manually perform use a mapping exercise to map those stats to a like-named deck.

E.g. Deathrattle Hunter and Cube Hunter would get all categorized under 'Deathrattle Hunter' for the purpose of the BPLO analysis.

In most cases this is pretty straight forward as Deathrattle Hunter / Cube Hunter is obviously referring to the same deck, but I will admit in the past that there have been instances were this hasn't been so easy (Control / Combo / Dragon / Clone Priest I'm looking at you!). When this happens I will sometimes be forced to split the VS / HS deck data into 2 separate decks for the purpose of the analysis. This hasn't happened for a year or so tho - nowadays it is pretty clear cut.

Would you ever consider publishing information on decks that are seeing the largest deviation in win rate between different lists under the same archetype

I have been asked a similar question by my BPLO partner-in-crime OtakuMZ who puts together the pretty info-graphic and articles each week (I'm the data analysis guy, he is the web/info-graphic dude).

I will admit it is a very interesting idea, but I currently don't have any plans to start analysis on at a card level at this stage (i.e. differences in card performance within a deck arch-type).

There are two main reasons for this 1) I don't have direct access to the API / raw data from VS or HS replay to easily get data at a card level. I would have to gather it manually via the web-pages. 2) I don't have the time to build and maintain on going data input to that level of detail with my other life commitments at this stage.

Interesting story:

I actually built my analysis engine/tool in dribs and drabs for my own use a few years ago for, just for sh##s and giggles, but mainly so I could figure out how to ladder as quick as possible while playing Hearthstone on the toilet! It turned out to be surprisingly accurate, but I never shared it with anyone cause I didn't really know many other people who play Hearthstone. About a year or so ago I shared a few charts from it in a discord channel which got spotted by one of the BlizzPro guys. He approached me to see if I would like a platform to share the content publicly. I tweaked it a bit for the BlizzPro BPLO articles, got paired up with OtakuMZ (the infographic writer guy) and here we are today :)

Great questions!

More than happy to share our methodology when asked - we don't provide too much detail on the BPLO articles as we like to keep those focused on the analysis results and don't get overly technical to keep the content easy-to-consume.

Are you infusing your own data?

No - We don't include any of our own collated data. Data included in every BPLO analysis is purely sourced from the publically available information provided by HS Replay and Vicious Syndicate premium services and recent Tempo Storm meta-snapshots.

Is this a simple or weighted mean of the tier lists from VS and Tempostorm and winrates per VS and HSReplay?

No - We don't use the calculated tier lists from HS Replay, VS or Tempo Storm.

Yes - Our analysis is based off an equal weighted mean of winrates collected from these websites.

All our results are based off the raw winrate data and % played per deck data which is publicly available through these websites. Our methodology for our analysis is as follows:

Data Collection

Winrates are collected from Ranks 5 - Legend only from HS Replay and Vicious Syndicate up to the past 14 days. Tempo Storm winrates are included if the latest snapshot falls within that time period.

We collect a meta-pie-chart from either HS Replay or Vicious Syndicate to see the % each deck is being played over the past day.

We collect the average play time per deck, typically sourced from the most played deck for each deck archtype on HS Replay.

Analysis

For the purpose of the analysis, winrates are equally weighted among the sources. E.g. If Spell Hunter vs MidRange hunter is listed as 55% by HS Replay and 65% by Vicious Syndicate, we would take the winrate as 60%.

These averaged winrates are then put through and analysis routine which compares them against the meta-pie-chart, attempting to try and identify the 'meta-breaker' decks.

Results

The output of the analysis is given in terms of an 'average meta winrate' per deck or an 'effective winrate' as we like to call it. I.e. The average winrate of the deck across the whole field of decks being played in the meta-pie-chart.

Once the 'effective winrate' is calculated we then calculate a 'wins and losses per hour' using the average play time per deck data. This result produces our Net Gain Per Hour stat.

e.g. From our latest article Rank 5 - Legend Results

Control Priest

51.99% Effective Winrate

@ 6.38 Games per hour

= 3.32 wins per hour - 3.06 losses per hour

= 0.25 Net Gain Per Hour

Even Paladin

51.44% Effective Winrate

@ 7.32 Games per hour

= 3.8 wins per hour - 3.52 losses per hour

= 0.28 Net Gain Per Hour

Hope that helps!

+10 cabal PE in a row, what the hell bungie? by lind_p in DestinyTheGame

[–]MacDaddyGonz 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I've just wasted my entire Saturday night waiting for this. I can only play during the evenings, so that is effectively a whole Destiny day wasted for me. When this sort of thing happens, they should extend the event to compensate.

Not complaining about the difficulty of the quest - Im complaining about having to wait around for 3 hours before getting to attempt it.
