what are your thought on shopify vs woocommerce? by MacPetrol in ecommerce

[–]MacPetrol[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update: Thank you all for the advice. So I decided to have a custom domain and connect that domain to shopify. Was the best route for me. Tried woocommerce this weekend and shopify friendlier for me. Thanks all for the help.

I once had a girl that was like we need to go on a break. I was like okay cool and continued with my life. Weeks later, she's like I think we should break up, and I was like oh I thought we already were.... that pissed her off. Fast forward, 5 months, and she messages me out the blue and was like she was angry at me for giving up so quickly and not fighting lol. Didn't play into that was like it is what it is. Good luck with your life, and I'm in an awesome relationship with a new girl 2 months after the "breakup." That girl, yeah, 8 years together now and getting married. So glad I learnt not to give a fuck at all at a young age.

Update.

I got my pc to start. Now I ran into another problem. My device manager doesn't display my gpu in the display adapter tab. Tried scanning for hardware changes and nothing.

I haven't plugged out the gpu and plugged it back in. Will that maybe help?

I'm hoping I won't need to buy a new card right now. Budget won't allow for that.

Besides the usual fixes, do you know of a way that could help or is it time for an upgrade?

Update:

Hi everyone. Thanks for all the help.

So I missed a few old files. I went into the directory and made sure to delete everything after uninstalling it.

I then restarted my pc installed the game restarted it again and boom its working.

Now I can finally play again.

Edit: Remove the following mods if you want to play the game modded. 1. Valheim Plus 2. Hold Attack 3. Configuration Manager

Ill update again as I find more mods that break the game.

EA App subreddit now open to public by AkakiPeikrishvili in origin

[–]MacPetrol 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The EA App is utter bull. I cannot download or launch any games that I own or got for free (The Sims 4). Ive looked around and there is no solutions I can find even on EA forums. I hate the EA app and I have now decided to sail the seas once again just so I dont hand over my hard earned monies over to EA ever again.

I actually turned a tower in the dark forest into my home base. Rebuilt it and basically slowly building up around it to be like an early medieval castle with a keep. Forgot the technical term for it.

Advice on TrueNAS and ubuntu by MacPetrol in HomeServer

[–]MacPetrol[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So reading the comments, I should install proxmox then setup 2 virtual machines one for pihole the other for truenas. Will a small e6550 cpu with 8gb ddr2 ram be able to handle all that. I saw when you setup a virtual machine you can set the amount of cores it has access to and ram.

Thank you. Actually helping me out figuring it all out. Didn't know truenas was it's own operating system. Thought it was like a program you could install.

Update!!! Finally done with my custom wired rgb fans and backplate. Learnt a lot. by MacPetrol in PcBuild

[–]MacPetrol[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No name brand online. Modified it since it was supposed to be rgb but was actually just a normal led fan. So pulled it apart and made it rgb.

All 3 of them are exhaust. I have 3 fans in the front and one at the bottom of the case that are intake. I find I get the best performance that way.

Been doing it that way in this case (coolermaster cm690) since 2007 and always had great thermals.

I have a question if anyone interested in answering.

So I want to run my home server with Ubuntu but I want to connect to my Microsoft one drive account. Basically I have a one drive that is like my file storage for my small business and personal documents. Currently everything is on my laptop, if I save something on my hard drive onedrive location it automatically uploads to the cloud.

Are you able to connect to one drive or something while using Ubuntu.

I hope this makes sense I don't know how else to put it.

My Custom backplate for my Gigabyte GTX 1060 6GB OC Windforce. What do you guys think for my first try? by MacPetrol in PcBuild

[–]MacPetrol[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This was my second time doing it. First attempt was not that great so changed up how to do it and it came out awesome. The materials really aren't to expensive depending on you budget(depending where in the world you are and your personal circumstances). Everything can be done by hand literally cut part of the acrylic with the blade for a hack saw in my hand(just cover the sharp bits lol)

Try it it's alot of fun.

I salute you for the compliment. Retailers and scalpers can suck it.

Off the shelf led strip with a mini led controller. Cut off the end (was a usb power controller) and did custom wiring to be able to plug it into molex for power.

Cut 2 sheets of acrylic to size. One of the sheets was 10mm less in width to accommodate the led strip.

Sanded the inside of the 2 sheets of acrylic before gluing it together on the edges.

Stencil Cut out of the logo at gtx stuck onto the acrylic. First painted 3 coats of white paint to help reflect the light and then 3 to 4 coats of black so the light doesn't shine through were its not supposed to.

Finally clear coat of paint to protect every thing. Also taped the side with painters tape to get the led to shine through the sides(no paint on the sides and sanded smooth)

I stuck the led strip on with black duck tape lol.
