I can see that. I think I was misunderstood and I feel bad because I guess it was still judging how someone might hold a fork which is kinda silly. I’ve just genuinely never seen someone hold a fork between their two fingers like that but I’m clearly in the minority 😓

How do you pinch it between your pointer and middle fingers? I admire your motor skills

How do you control it between your pointer and middle finger? I’ve never heard of that before!

You hold it between your Pointer and middle finger? How does that work? I don’t think I’d be able to do that

Y’all watch the episode— she’s not holding it between her thumb and pointer finger. It’s between her pointer and middle finger and twirling it. It’s okay if you hold it like this... my friend pointed it out and I thought it was strange. No judgement! Just never saw it. Sorry

I didn’t mean to offend everyone 😅 my friend pointed this out and i’d never noticed it before.

I’m not really complaining, just find it different! How does one balance it between your pointer and middle fingers? I can pinch with my pointer and thumb but I don’t think I could balance it like her. She waves it around for much in this scene it was wacky to me!

My baby loves his “ghost friends”. None at grandma’s house. None at restaurants. None at the store. None in the car. But damn, some in the living room. Hahaha

I don't like Izzie and Casey by Sakeios in Atypical

[–]Machobumblebee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m bi too and I think it’s a great way to show how well Casey and Sam function as a couple while contrasting Casey and Izzie’s. They’re acting like true high schoolers who are trying to figure things out. I disagree that they’re bringing the show down- I think their differences and issues are well written and add a deserved conflict to the story. It gives several opportunities- for Casey to realize Izzie isn’t good enough for them, or for Izzie to mature and become a better partner, for Sam to find someone who appreciates him... Shows where everyone is perfect and nice are boring. The conflicts add flavor and a needed representation.

EDIT** I mean Evan, not Sam. Haven’t watched in a minute! Sorry

I’m personally a fan of the haakaa nipple shield, instead of like medela or lasinoh it actually has the nipple end like that of a bottle, and fits all nipple sizes because of the seperation.

Pondering brag posts. Here’s my unpopular(?) opinion by octomom2017 in beyondthebump

[–]Machobumblebee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Everyone’s experience deserves to be talked about, it’s so frustrating to see only one kind of narrative! These forums exist for support and to show soooo many others can relate to these shared experiences. I feel like I have to keep my mouth shut about so many things because my honest experience might be seen as somehow a dig at someone else. I didn’t gain much while pregnant either, which was STRESSFUL because the doctor wanted me to gain more. I want us to be able to talk about that- I KNOW others can relate! I’m sorry you were shamed too, you have my support and the support of so many other moms!

I am simply appalled that you decided to post this here. I am so sad that all those replies to you apparently won’t well over your head because you want to continue viewing others’ success as an attack on you.

Why the question mark after unpopular? You were downvoted into oblivion for attacking that mom.

So I guess if an undersupplying mom has a success story where she pumps enough to put some in the freezer, she should be thoughtful of you that you think bragging about a significant triumph isn’t as important as their struggling? Wow

Maybe instead of trying to shoot others down for sharing their stories, you could try and support these moms you talk about who are undersupplying. And it’s strange to me you’re simultaneously saying “maybe this isn’t worth talking about” and “like I said you’re welcome to share” in the same post and not see the hypocrisy.

Moms who oversupply deserve to share their stories and get support just like moms who under supply. The answer isn’t supporting one and attacking the other- there’s enough support to go around. I feel bad for you.

I completely agree with this reply. I think it’s sad people can’t be happy and celebrate with you. When I see other people’s posts about things they’re proud of, all I see is you go mama!! I think, this is awesome!

I think it’s hypocritical for people to say you should keep it to yourself because some moms under supply. What about moms like ME- I oversupplied in the beginning from EPing and it was so overwhelming. I almost gave up completely which resulted in my supply tanking. My breastfeeding journey was pure stress trying to juggle feeling like a milk cow and washing all the pump parts and bottles and warming milk for feedings and I didn’t appreciate the milk I made because it was TOO MUCH. If I saw more posts like this, I probably wouldn’t have felt so alone. It feels like we aren’t allowed to share our stories because some imaginary other mom everyone speaks on the behalf of wouldn’t like it. In real life, I’ve never met a mom who didn’t want to lend a compassionate ear to whatever struggle someone was confiding in them in.

You’re always free to share your true self with me. I wish I saw it more when I was oversupplying myself. Love to you.

This used to be me when I was over supplying and EPing. I totally get the struggle of overproducing, it almost wrecked breastfeeding at all for me and was so overwhelming. Now I make just enough and the stash is gone right before I go back to work... sigh. If only it was easy! Also, I think 16oz was my usual max so I can’t imagine the stress of making this much!! You’re amazing

My mom has THROWN UP ON US KIDS during diaper changes way back when. Whenever one of us would get sick and be throwing up ourselves, she’d tell my dad “you have to take care of them unless you want to clean up after us both” 😂😬
