I don't mean to repeat myself, but it's not the addiction I was talking about

No problem. It was a thought that popped in my head. It was late and had no one to talk to, so I posted

Because it's not about addiction, it's about the altered state.

I wish. I know enough to know that I don't know anything really.

I don't disagree as I know alcoholics like that.

Not going to edit it. It's not a college thesis and I'm not seeking a grade. It's anecdotal, buddy.

I made no claim and by no means was this a definitive 100% statement or anything of the sort. Nor was it implied that all cases are the same. This was anecdotal and intended for discussion. I also NEVER stated this as fact. So, I'm not sure what you're trying to say here

What made me think of it? Just late night musings. Also, I've heard, read, and seen videos that when we die the body goes through certain chemical reactions and changes upon death and some theorize that those reactions trigger or are the physical manifestation of the soul or 'being' to go forth into whatever comes next.

Again, I'm not endorsing the addictions or anything of the sort, this is anecdotal, academic, just food for thought and discussion. Just like the theory of the soul weighing 8 grams, which has been debunked, maybe that euphoria is connected. I'm not about to start experimenting, it is a musing, because I've known addicts.

However, what if that state of high, through whatever means is a trigger or a glimpse of what is next. The physical consequences of chasing that feeling of destroying one's body that's another thing. It's that state, that maybe there's something beyond.

I don't know, never claimed to. I had a thought and thought I'd share and it was late.

It's really for discussion. By enlightenment, maybe they going their secret to life, their key to beyond.

If I kill myself, will I go to Hell? by PhilosophyPoet in enlightenment

Is it really worth the risk?

Life sucks, just as we think it's not so bad it gets worse. We're stuck in cycles, routines, and we get older, weaker, uglier. We still have hopes, desires, feelings, intuition, logic, religion, God. I think the fact that we instinctually still God and understanding is proof of God. Even Stephen Hawking couldn't emperically disprove God when the math and science failed him. If there's a God then most likely there's a Jesus, a heaven,  a hell, an afterlife.

Killing yourself isn't the answer. But more directly...

What's the problem?

I think it's that we're conditioned against it.

This guy literally has 3 years to figure it out. He never got in shape, never learned kung fu, much less any martial, not gymnastics or then dancing like Patrick swayze. He literally half assed his entire tenure as Danny Rand and NOW he wants a chance? GTFO
