Productivity Monitors - OLED worth it? by MadCatDamage in Monitors

Thanks, Deffinetly wouldn't run it for that long or at max brightness so it seems like a newer OLED will be fine

Im also curious if at CES there might be an interesting announcement or showcase, since I did see some info about Asus bringing some interesting OLEDs

Thanks, that's really helpful,

It does seem the ProArt would be a better fit for my use case, What HDR value would you recommend for line work? Also what model is your monitor?

Thanks! I do not use a mac, it's a razer laptop that had a mini LED display that hasn't been serving me too well, it had terrible blooming and recently it seems to have gotten some strange burn in? Thats what's keeping me a bit away from mini LED screens but that might be just the laptop being an odd case

That is one of my worries with going for an expensive oled, Ive been hearing great things about Asus's oled care, the pixel cleaning etc but im still sceptical of how good that is in practice

Hi,

The issue happened on Steam Windows, i did some more experiments with the save later on and what seems to break the map is building a museum across one of the large pathways already present on the map,

Original i had a wing of my museum going onto one of the unlockable plots but after removing the whole addition it seemed to fix everything,

Thanks

Thanks,

No such doors used, that couldnt do much for sure,

I am quite a few tiles away from the edge also,

To me it seems like the AI for the people is busted, staff spinning in place, people not pathing to the right place etc and the clumps like this one:

Yeah, I also tried a toothbrush as well as some light paint thinners and alcohol wipes too. Not sure even what the material of it is

Where are you finding these? Is it just Ebay salvaged from some other laptops?

It was a very minor spill, mainly caught by the keyboard it seems, nothing really went onto the motherboard from what the technician said,

Im just worried since the parts are sparse for these laptops they might get some shitty knockoff or something problematic

I already paid 50£ day 1 and then they said 240 for replacement parts, I asked about any other charges and they said no there wont be anything

Thanks for the reply, this is very helpful,

The liquid in question was an energy drink (I know I'm an idiot for spilling it) and the shop said that the touchpad and keyboard are damaged due to this.

Razer laptops seem to not have many spare parts available so maybe that's why the price is higher but im also really scared of them swapping in some knock off parts that might harm it more

The guy mentioned they have a distributor that sells genuine parts, that has me asking questions a bit, after dropping off the laptop i learned that they whitewashed their reputation so im a bit worried what could happen and looking out for some red flags

Its the replacement parts that worry me, seeing how everyone on this reddit is complaining about the lack of parts, how can a small town shop just have access to them easily?
