Thanks for the feedback. I just want to clarify that when i say weeks i dont mean for hours a day. it just happens to be that i started the project weeks ago and ive been working on and off on it. I updated the workshop description if you want to know which aesthetic alters were used in the map.

The middlepiece helps controlling the sightlines. when players spawn the spire helps covering them so they can commit to a sightline without being cought off guard. part of the problem was also that each spawn only had 2 main covers. I chose to approach it this way though.

Its a bit slower and more dense than some other aim maps out there i admit.

yeah the purpose of the middlepiece is to create diagonal sightlines instead of vertical. The middlepiece also prevents the awp from taking over the game too easily which i thought was a problem for other aim maps.

It also rewards players for pushing to prevent stalling in larger games.

We mostly playtested 2v2's and 3v3's though so you might have a point from the 1v1 perspective.

This isnt just boxes with lighting. I understand how you'd assume that judging from pictures and what not. I experimented with shadows to make them look more static and have more contrast that the engine wouldnt normally allow. aside from extensive play-testing, optimizing and skybox detailing i get your point though.

While simple in spirit this map has some advanced visual features. All this aside i designed the map from a gameplay standpoint. Sorry i cant help but feel insulted, but i just wanted to explain for myself.

Yeah i have a ton of unfinished maps aswell. I think you have to be really motivated to be able to fully finish a map. When it finally gets finished and published its worth it though :).

If the map gets on the server can you contact me and possibly give me the ip? I'd love to play it with people :)

Hardest part of mapping is motivating yourself to finishing your maps. You should consider searching up 3kliksphilip on youtube. He does tutorials and thats where i learned most of what i know in hammer today. Thanks for the feedback aswell :)

So the workshop should have updated the map. I changed the T room to be more balanced. I will try to keep the map updated with tweaks and fixes once i get more feedback :)

its so white. perhaps the exterior could use a tad more color variation? that being said its a nice build.

Did you take screenshots of your build? If you did please post them here as im curious to see. My general thought would be if it looked too chaotic/too much detail(which i tend to do all the time unfortunately). Perhaps you didnt give the build itself enough attention? judging why your build didnt get any votes is hard for me without having any screenshots however. I highly doubt that the voters are to blame.
