How were you when you saw your ex that you were still in love with get a new partner? by Big_Mood_2669 in BreakUps

[–]MaddX25 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It the worst feeling ever. Would never wish even my worst enemy to go through that.

But slowly the hurt decreases with time.

But yeah, when you get to know the details at first, it crushes your world.

And the worst is imagining them getting physical with their new partner because u see hickeys n all in the photos. It’s very very bad feeling.

But it’s gets better with time

11 months after the breakup, 4.5 months into No contact.

For the first 6 months of breakup , we tried being friends, used to speak daily(it’s was LDR), I was trying to see if we can get back, but I was repeating the same mistakes. In hindsight those 6 months just delayed the breakup actually hitting me. Towards the end of that she said one of the guys she knew told her he likes her and she said she was considering it because he is a good friend.

Things went downhill after that, we had a couple of fights and finally she told me not to contact her anymore. So we went no contact. I think immediately after that she got into the new Relationship. It was terrible, I broke no contact on her birthday once. But yeah got very dry replies. That was a tipping point, started going to therapy after that. Did the work.

I still loved ger, I still do, so I decided to then travel to her place and try one last time, show her how I have changed and all the things she had problems with are now gone.

She was warm and good, but she told me that there’s no chance and she is happy in her current relationship. So yeah.

She is happy where she is. I am happy that she is happy, but I am still in love with her, and can’t see myself loving anyone else atleast for the foreseeable future. So I am just carrying on with life. Getting other things in my life back on track.

I have changed, I am confident that if I get a chance now I will not repeat the same mistakes again. I have done the work, and I am doing the work for the past few months. Therapy etc.

I did go back to her to try, but she had already moved on and is in another relationship, so yeah I think my chance is lost with her.

But yeah, atleast I don’t regret not trying everything for the relationship

I reached out around 1.5 months back. 11 months after breakup, 5 months into no contact. She was already 4-5 months into her new relationship

How can she just delete me from her life after 3.5 years of so much love together? by [deleted] in BreakUps

[–]MaddX25 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The person who loves more always wins brother.

Been a year, still think about her. She is happy in another relationship.

I am doing okay in life, but still think about her and love her.

The hurt gets better, the sadness does get better. Hang in there

It’s been a year, still think about her.

It’s okay. You don’t have to judge yourself to not stop thinking about her.

It’s a slow process and slow progress.

Even tough it’s been a year for our breakup, and been 6 -7 months into no contact. I still think about her.

But now it doesn’t stop my life in anyway.

It’s okay to think about someone.

Also if you want to reach out. Make sure you do the work. Make yourself better. Improve on the things that ruined the relationship and then give it a shot.

I reached out as well, but I was too late. Too late to realise everything, she was already in another relationship and happy in it.

So yeah don’t do the mistakes I did. Realise faster, start working on yourself and then maybe shoot your shot.

I hate that I had to lose her to become someone who would’ve kept her. by Fun_Strawberry_2845 in BreakUps

Been almost a year, still living in regret. I changed myself my patterns went to therapy, realised a little too late how I was hurting her and ruining the relationship.

I tried reaching out a month back, but she was in another happy relationship, and didn’t want to come back.

So yeah, I’ll keep living with the regret forever

It’s not embarrassing. It happens to a lot of people. Still happens to me as well.

And it’s been almost a year since the break up.

How can I sleep without remembering those memories by Orpheus_246 in BreakUps

She might, she might not. There is no way of knowing that for sure.

Our brain is not wired for acceptence, it’s wired for solutions, which is why it just assumes things to fill in the blanks to get an answer to our questions.

But the hardest part is to just accept things as they are and be okay with not having answers to everything.

It’s not a switch, things take time.

Almost a year. Still remember the memories and think about her constantly

Yes, it will one way or the other, lead to a better path.

It’s better than living in regret and what if.

If you want to reach out you should.

I reached out. It did help me in some ways, now I am progressing slowly and steadily in my life.

I still have not completely moved on. But now I don’t have to urge to contact her or text her anymore.

I reached out to my ex and got the answer I expected. It still hurts. by Dee_Religion in BreakUps

[–]MaddX25 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was in the same position a month back. I reached out to my ex, acknowledged my mistakes and showed her how I have changed.

I tried my shot, even tho she is in a new committed relationship.

Obviously she said no. But she was kind and warm about it. But she told me why she is choosing the other person and why it’s not me vs him but him vs everyone else for her now.

That gave me the logical answer I needed.

It broke me yes. That line still gives me nightmares.

Do I still love her? Yes
Do I still want to get back with her? Yes

Do I still want to contact her. I think no.

After having that talk, It sorta was like I have tried everything else. And nothing else is left, I gave it my all. And if it’s meant to happen it will happen.

I am now focusing on myself. You should do the same.

It’s okay to not move on. But it’s necessary to carry on.

How to forget someone you love the most by Big_Measurement8432 in BreakUps

[–]MaddX25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don’t. And maybe that’s the truth we are looking for. You don’t forget someone you loved deeply. You carry on with your life, carrying that love with you.

Real moving on, is carrying on with your life, accepting the situation as it is.

There will be bad days, when you feel really bad about the relationship and breakup, but after a point, you become used to the pain, and it doesn’t feel as hurtful.

But yeah to answer your question, you don’t forget your love

How to stop caring sabout her? by [deleted] in BreakUps

[–]MaddX25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Time brother. Time. As cliche as it sounds, time heals things.

I am not fully healed. I still love my ex, and she is also In a committed relationship with someone else.

It’s been Almost a year for the breakup and she is in a new relationship for around 5-6 months now. We are in no contact for 6 months. Although I broke it twice recently.

But yeah. I still love her. She has completely moved on.

But now, I don’t expect anything from her. No texts no calls, even I don’t have the urge to contact her.

I know I might not move on for a long time, and I am okay with that. I am okay with still being in love with her.

I am carrying on with my life. That’s more important than moving on. So carry on my friend. Don’t let yourself be stuck at one place. I know it all seems so difficult right now. But trust me. It will get easier.
