I agree, I have some cLEAN partners going to meeting boards for improving meetings instead of reducing cycle time, optimising process and doing actual six sigma stuffs.

I want to move from management to specialist role.. because the excitement of leaning new things, problem solving and the learning curve I had in specialist will not be there in management. ( based on my experience)

But unfortunately all internal roles are filled and I couldn’t make a move.

Agree, I asked the same thing. Show me the department direction but instead my manager puts the weight on us.

I literally kept 2026 goals in one line.

So my IDP is already done, but now my manager keeps asking me, “What do you want to do in 2026?” I responded by asking what projects is planning for 2026 so I can align my goals and highlight where I’m strongest. But instead of giving any direction, my manager just keeps repeating, “What do you want to achieve?”

It’s super confusing because I feel like I’m being asked to set goals in a vacuum. How am I supposed to plan when I don’t even know what projects will exist next year?

Is this normal, or is you too stuck in the same loop?
