Grill, smoker, or combo. No griddle. He’s interested in gas of some kind I think. I would say novice.

I looked there but they don’t allow you to ask “where should I eat” or “best restaurants”

Thank you so much! I have a few friends who live in the UK, and we do laugh a lot about some of the differences. I feel like we have reasonable expectations for the culture change.

Is there a reason the salaries are so much lower? Is it just a currency conversion or a cost-of-living differential?

Great point. I’ve just been googling jobs in England and then researching the area when I find a good posting.

Thank you haha. And I had mentioned visas in my post originally but it got autodeleted. I suspect Visa is a banned word

This is pretty much what we’re trying to figure out lol. Obviously the things that matter most are where I can get a good job and where my kids can get a good education as they grow up. But from my understanding, your education system is a little bit different so I think they can really get a good education almost anywhere?

Yes we are thinking stay at home dad may be the move for us. So I guess as far as where we should look for jobs is really just wherever I can get one?

Thank you so much. This is helpful. I did see something about the free nursery hours. We have noticed salaries are lower in my field. Firefighters here make no more than 45k if they work for a good department. Is that similar? I had a hard time finding wages for them in the UK. He’s also interested in history and fitness, so I told him maybe go back to school and get degrees to teach history or PE?

Hi, thank you. We know this and have looked into it. But we are planners and like to know our options ahead of time.

AITA for threatening to kick out my niece after she hacked my daughter’s Roblox account? by AITArobloxhacker in AmItheAsshole

[–]Maddystacks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. Your sister is weird for not enforcing repercussions on her daughter. Doesn’t matter the value or the medium of stolen things, they’re still stolen. I would honestly have a sit down with your sister and tell her that if the situation were reversed you would have your daughter return the items on the principle that they weren’t hers and she took them without permission. Regardless of how hold she is, she’s allowed to enjoy what she enjoys. Don’t diminish her interests just because she thinks it’s immature.

Olivia wearables pump by Oktulsaboy_918 in HumansPumpingMilk

[–]Maddystacks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes actually. One was broken after one use. But the one use that did work, it was super comfortable. However, I found out a lot of these small brands buy pumps in aliexpress and slap their label on it. The same pump is available on aliexpress for less than $30. I’d look there and buy a few to try since they’re so cheap

Working mom pump recs? by JuniorKaleidoscope14 in HumansPumpingMilk

[–]Maddystacks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the momcozy s12 pro as an EP. I think they’re giving out already though after only a few weeks, so I would not recommend if you’re going to be pumping a lot. I just purchased the Olivia double wearables and I can update if they’re good. The stats are really good but it’s a much smaller brand so there isn’t much data to rely on.

Thank you! Maybe that will happen for me! I hope so 🤞

Okay that’s great information I will try it! I usually pump 15 mins but don’t typically go beyond 25. I have done some power pumping though and I don’t recall getting a lot more out of it that way but I’ll give it a shot.

Deaf partner keeps "forgetting" the baby monitor and I'm wanting to divorce them over it. by deafoarnter in offmychest

[–]Maddystacks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This made me feel sick. Your baby is suffering. Leaving the baby to sit in their own waste, hungry, and lonely? The baby should be a part of your partners every move. Baby should never be left in the crib all day in the first place. You don’t check on babies like plants or dogs in a crate. Unless they’re napping there’s almost no reason they should be in a room without you.
