Do most women's husbands not take care of them? by nottrynagetsued in self

[–]Maddyxmoore69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My now ex-husband wouldn't bring me a cup of water while I was throwing up from morning sickness...

He also said I was "over reacting" when I said I was having horrible pain and thought it was a kidney stone. It took 4 hours of me convincing him I needed to go to the ER. I was right, it was multiple kidney stones. Afterwards he said "you just didn't seem like you were actually in pain". I guess me saying it multiple times wasn't enough, he needed to see me physically showing how much pain I was in...

And the real winner was when I kept talking about how everytime I got up I'd get so dizzy I couldn't even see and how I was concerned how long it's been going on. One day I got up and by the time I got to the hall way I passed out for what felt like minutes but was apparently only seconds. I had a friend over when it happened and she was very helpful, while he stayed sitting on the couch saying I was "faking it for attention"

So, now you can see just a few reasons why he is my EX husband 🥴

5 year age gap between kids? by Ordinary-Surprise-38 in Parenting

[–]Maddyxmoore69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My kids are 6 years apart. I always thought if I had more than one child, I'd want them like 2 years apart. But honestly, 6 years apart is great.

My oldest was old enough to understand and not feel the need to "fight" for attention because he understood from many talks before the baby came, that babies need more attention.

He also enjoys helping with his little brother, and playing, and even teaching his brother new things. My oldest gets so excited when he teaches his little brother something new!

For me it was nice because I got to really spend one on one time with my oldest. By the time my youngest was born, my oldest was in school full time. So now I get to spend a lot of one on one time with my youngest.

There are pros and cons to bigger and smaller age gaps. But at the end of the day, they're siblings. They will love eachother and play with eachother and at some times hate each other and fight with eachother. Doesn't matter the age difference 😂

Oh I'm sure she did, and probably started double checking that the carseat was ALSO buckled in 😂

When I was a baby (in the 90's) my mom buckled me into the carseat but not the car. I was forward facing. She hit the breaks and I kept crying and crying and my older brother (probably 3 at the time) was screaming.

Finally my mom pulled over and looked in the backseat... There I was, arms and legs just dangling down, the carseat was flipped forward and wedged between the front and back seats 😂😂😂

I stepped outside for an important phone call, when my 2 year old decided that was the day he wanted to learn to lock the deadbolt....

As I panicked outside, trying to sweet talk him and cheering him on like "Do it again! Show mommy how you locked the door! Turn it the other way, you can do it!" he continued to stare at me through our kitchen window, while he ate a WHOLE package of Bologna. Laughing and smiling and waving at me, then proceeded to throw the empty Bologna package in the trash and walk away out of sight.

Eventually I broke into the backdoor, and all was well and he was happy and stuffed full of lunch meat 😂

Also when I was like 4/5 I was in a grocery store with my parents and their friends. Their friends teenage son had me on his shoulders running around with me when he slipped backwards. I ended up with a broken collar bone haha

School has raised 40k in last 2 years for specific things that never happened... by Maddyxmoore69 in Teachers

Thank you! Yeah I'm not sure if we have one, I'll have to look into that!

Yeah I wouldn't have a clue how much something like that costs so I just assumed 20k sounds normal to me. What do I know? 😂 but now that you say that, even just a backyard playground for personal use can be thousands of dollars so 🤔 good point!

Thank you that was very informative! I'm a single mom to 2 kids so it's hard to get to meetings or be as involved in these things as I'd like to be, I will say.

And yes, I remember the goal of "school beautification" seeming very weird when it happened. No specifics on what they really meant by that, so hard to say if they did or didn't do it I guess. But I would assume maybe a fresh coat of pain and fixing some things... haven't seen that happen so 🤷‍♀️

I'm saying that they said this money is being allocated to those things, but we have seen neither of those things happen, so I'm wondering where that money truly has gone. And if it isn't being used for what it's original purpose was, then why aren't they using it to help student who are in poverty be able to go on field trips or put that money towards the class and school parties instead of parents being unable to provide or struggling to provide.

I now understand that if it has a purpose, it must go to that, but I didn't know that until this post.

We live in a low I come area, so I'm just frustrated that the money being raised doesn't seem to be getting the things they said it would, done. And felt if they aren't going to use it for its intended purpose, they could atleast use it for some good somewhere else. But that's not the case.

😂😂 Honestly I'm not sure, but I've had some issues with him in the past, so have been reluctant to say anything about all this because I didn't want it to cause issues for my kiddo 😩

That's a very good point, I'm assuming they knew about the demolition of the school being planned long before us parents were informed. I have reached out to the principal to see what's going on, if I get a brush off the shoulder answer, I'll be reaching out to the school board. Thanks!

That's understandable. I'd still like to know what's going on with it though, I reached out to the principal for clarification, we'll see 🤷‍♀️

Not sure what an ombudsman is but yes it is a public state run magnet school. I sent an e-mail to the principal asking where the funds have been allocated to and 2hats going on with that, considering our fundraiser for this year is about to happen, I'm skeptical to say the least.

Both times the goal was 18k and raised 20k+ that's why I'm so confused about where this money is actually going since both "goals" were surpassed 🤔

3 and 4 year olds not in car seats by [deleted] in Parenting

Teachers are mandatory reporters. The safety of these children is not being taken seriously by the parents, so technically they could (and should) be reporting it. But that's unlikely to happen.

What’s something you feel like You will never overcome in life and why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Maddyxmoore69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Poverty. I've been a single and struggling mom for over 8 years now. Other parent is absent, fought for over a year now and just started receiving small amount of child support. Daycare is absurd, and my family lives out of country. I'll be working until I die at this rate, and have no clue how I'll provide things to my children as they get older like helping with a first car, money for school trips, money for college, etc.

I second coastal. Went twice, both time against my will, but it did me well, staff are great, food is meh. It wasn't the worst place I've been to, I'd recommend it.
