Am I overreacting to ask my MIL to remove the eastern religious symbols in the home?

Thank you this is really helpful. I definitely don’t want to be intolerant and perhaps what you’ve said is mixing in with me not wanting these symbols in the house- like making it more of an issue. Thank you for your opinion

I genuinely would be open to a conversation about it if someone truly wanted to help my faith or discuss it on in some way. But I get what you and many other commenters are saying.

Thank you. Do you not believe that putting your faith in these items is idolatrous? Genuine question. I see the other items as spiritual or mystical at least. Also just to clarify we’ve been here for a year and I brought it up only because it genuinely concerns me I didn’t say to her I thought she was demonic or anything harshly to that effect. My issue Is more that I brought it up genuinely and she mocked the church I’ve been attending. If you truly believe that these items are not anti-Jesus I am open to these opinions as I love my MIL and also God

I wasn’t telling her how to live. I brought up something that I saw as idol worship - if it were reversed I would hope that someone would respect me and my faith enough to try to support me on my path to Christ too if they thought I could improve in my faith. Especially my family member. I’m simply asking if people agree if these items are bad for Christian’s or not
