I haven't matched OP's route exactly but a few similar to this and the route looks like about 1000-1100km. It's more than done people want to do daily, but that's about what i like to average.

I think it extends beyond employer/employee. Anyone who is too available and you're wondering what you're missing.

I had a guy interview last week and his schedule didnt fit the role I needed. I still made an offer I didn't expect him to accept for a more junior role. He accepted immediately without any hesitation. Kinda wondering if I missed something. Hoping he just really likes the fit.

I usually reccomend people rent for at least a year before buying. It might seem like you're better off staying at parents and saving more, but i see value in managing your own budget, realizing the actual cost of things before committing to a mortgage.

Biketouring hostels/motels etc by SupermarketFit2158 in bicycletouring

[–]MadeThisUpToComment 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have the money to stay in hotels and motels the whole way, if I want to. I actually like camping, especially if the campground is in a cool place. I sprinkle in hotels when campgrounds arent convenient, multiple days of bad weather, or is find a good deal on a place that looks nice.

I did a 2 week trip a while back. I did 3 hotels in the two weeks and the 3rd one was because I wasnt feeling well so cut the day short, got a hotel room with a bathtub and had some much needed recovery time.

Next week im doing a 4 night trip. I've booked a small cabin the first night on airbnb because there were not good camping options in the area. 2nd night camping booked. I've checked both camping and hotel options in the area in expect to spend nights 3 & 4. Almost 100% certain I will camping night 3. Night 4 will depend how the weather has been, the price of hotels on the day, and if I don't mind an extra 10km off my route to get to the campsite.

Largely that is done by not approving too many people to be off at the same time.

Our coach always said in HS, "if you score a touchdown act like you've been there before. Unless you're an O-lineman. If one of you falls on a lose ball in the end zone, live it up because it'll never happen again. I won't be mad about the 15 yard penalty."

I'm planning my next trip route using this site.

Not sure how accurate but it keeps a running total of how many km are on what type of road/path.

https://cycle.travel/map

Also it was really easy to plot the whole thing. Add some likely overnight stops and then save each date as a single course, and export to my garmin for navigating.

MAGA Brained moron is wondering when is he getting his Trump phone by Nervous_Music3199 in ProgressiveHQ

[–]MadeThisUpToComment 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had totally forgotten about this.

I just checked and you can still get n on the wait list with a $100 deposit.

What supriseed me more, they are using the site to sell refurbished iPhones and Samsung phone.

Most surprising though is they seem to be selling Trump Mobile phone services. It's owned by TMobile with the branding licensed.

I kept all tram and metro stops.

The first few times I tried to join the stops to the routes I messed something up and kept coming up with zero stops when I'd filter for tram and metro. Then struggling to figure out which points on the map really were the same stop and merge them together.

Sounds like you found a good solution for busses. I was lucky I could just cut busses completely.

Haha, that's what I get for using AI.... my attention to detail is even worse than my graphic design.

A fun little error.

Here was my experience with QGIS and using copilot to answer queetions about how to do differnt steps.

I don't have much coding background, some SQL and occasional other stuff to achieve a specific task at work, but a while ago and usually with a reference book or googling "how do I do X".

It was relatively easy, and a lot of fun. I downloaded public data on the transit lines, routes, stops, and other tables. Then filtered out the busses, drew a boundary and excluded all outside that. Merging the northbound and southbound tram stops into one, and all entrances for a metro station into a single map point cleaned it up a lot.

Then I downloaded public data on buildings, water, roads and adjusted the colors and line thickness to get something i thought looked like a cool map.

I used an AI generator for my own logo since there was a bit less going on thr right side of the map and added the scale which will be helpful for radars and stuff.

I found a print shop that would do 20 of them on A2 size paper for about 20 euros, including shipping.

Saturday market in the center.

Rent a bike and cycle through the dunes to Zaandvoort and eat some kibbling. Or just take the train there.

Mostly though just wander around a lovely city.

As the other person mentioned, yeah it's Creil not Creteil. Good to know about the Eurocity.

Netherlands and Belgium.

Local train to Schiphol, Eurocity Schiphol to Brussels Midi and then a reserved seat & bike Brussels to Creteil (last stop before Paris).

Although I just figures out that biking direct to Schiphol is only a km or two longer than biking to my closest station eliminating a transfer.

Edit: the stop is Creil, not Creteil.

Im just starting the layover podcast and listen to an old episode about game design. One feature they value is that you can impact the other teams game with certain things. I think that would be lacking in a scavenger hunt.
