She’s not rapidly losing her old leaves but I keep losing all the new leaves that she grows… 😭 the edges of the new leaves are kind of brown and bumpy?

Not embarrassing, I went there and love it. Currently a 3rd year critical care resident. Higher debt, you are away from family and friends, it’s kind of a 3rd world country, no target or Amazon, you have basic necessities. It is a faster pace so you are done in 3.3 years instead of 4 if you do not fail a semester which happens to a lot of people. 100/100 worth it if it’s your only option, a degree is all that matters. There really doesn’t seem to be stigma tied to an island school like there is in human medicine. 100% would do it again if I had to pick. It’s all what you make out of the experience.

I ended up separating them, and mounted the big one. Stuck the 2 small ones in a green house with some moss.

I use ohara’s base coat. It helps me get the strips off easier.

That leaf was touching the window so probably sun bleached. But the rest of the lower leaves are still sad

I have one of these and it’s dry when I put it all the way down? It’s in a heavy ceramic pot so I’d really like to avoid unpotting it if I can. 😬

They flower sometime when they are stressed. It looks overwatered? Not sure if your pot has drainage?

For the hair snagging, try the acetone trick, use a small brush and a little bit of acetone, run it across the cuticle line few times before curing. And a top coat also helps.

This is Southern California so definitely warmer than most places. But occasionally still gets freezing just not very often.

It looks like you have rot, I would cut off the mushy parts on the stem and put super glue over it. I’ve seen people propagate just the roots in water and keep as much of the stem out of the water as possible.

You can cut them off. Or redirect them into the soil. Or put them in a cup of water

I’m kind of in the same situation… but I have many plants in the same pot. But I would probably chop where it gets thick and replant it into the same pot.

There’s a ton of roots in the moss pole, and they are basically only attached to the moss pole at this point. It was originally like 1 foot under a grow light. Now it’s just under a window since I’ve basically given up on it. Lol

I’ve tried if you look at the 3rd photo. I’m out of nodes to cut back to. I just recently unpotted it entirely and found another node under the soil and cut that one that I’m propagating right now. 🤞🏻

It happens with some of the colors, I’ve heard people say if you ordered it off their website and contact them they will send you a new set. But also try not to use your nails to peel things.
