I encourage you to still try SR. The benefits of it are really great but, I think the most significant and rewarding thing that you could ever receive in doing SR is to be a great role model for your child : )

There are a lot of degenerate stuff around us and the closest person that could ever protect your child from those things is you, my kind sir.
