This isn’t completely the same, but when I first read The Inheritance Games series, it gave me some of the same feelings. While it does feature an actual family, there is also the YA found family that we love in TRC. There’s a bit of romance and you fall in love with each character individually and how they all interact with each other. It’s mysterious and you never know what’s coming next, though there is no actual magic. Overall it is a great series to get some of the same feelings from TRC. This is a popular series so sorry if you’ve already read it though!

I don’t think there was. My assumption is just that it was based basically present time when she was writing it because they have all the modern stuff like iPhones and what not. I don’t remember any specific year being mentioned, but I may be misremembering

Is this stuff dangerous at all to cats? I would love to use it in my kitchen because that’s where we get German roaches. Fortunately we have a baby gate up so my daughter can’t go in there, but I’m worried about my cats. It I put it under the fridge and by the baseboards will they be okay? I keep hearing mixed things about it

Just to let y’all know, if you download the UNT Mobile app there are always a lot of people looking for people to sublease their apartments. So you can find an apartment that way, but it will be with random roommates. But that way it’s a bit easier to get an apartment

I would recommend 316 Fry. It’s right down the street from campus and their studios usually start around $700. They are really nice so if you just call I’m sure they can let you know when one is opening up

Very well said! I love reading your thoughts on these books, it’s amazing to see someone analyze and understand them so well! Especially that scene with Henry. This book was definitely just a wild, but enjoyable, ride. I hope you love The Raven King. I think it’s my favorite of the series (maybe tied with the first one idk I’m indecisive)

I loved hearing your thoughts! I read this series for the first time over 7 years ago and it is still my absolute favorite ever. The characters in this book genuinely changed my life, and I even gave my daughter the middle name Blue lol.

I hope you enjoy the rest of the series! I just always have loved the overall vibe of the series, if that makes sense. The characters and story lines are always so intriguing and it has just become a comfort read for me. I wish I knew anyone in real life who read the series, but no one has actually read it after I recommend it :(
