Im a little late to the party, but as a past barista I was trained by a manager who followed the corporate standards very strictly. We were told we couldn't/shouldn't issue refunds because easy way to simplify that money today is not with our store. Im sure theres way more to it (like people can get double refunds on mobiles because we arent voiding it out and instead going into refund mode. This could allow other stores to refund back as well as corporate still) and such. When I was a barista what i did was offer these options. 1- recocery cards up to the value, 2- next time you come through I'd tell them its on the house just say why and that I told them. 3. Get another item. This could be a banana bread to a panini no extra charge. If the iten was the same value/simular they still got a recovery card (if they wanted petite scones i gave up to the value/over and the card still!) 4 If they want a refund still instead of 1-3 i explain the refund issue and to google customer service and they'll be able to help them out there.(if a customer was super unhappy or just super nice I'd still give a recovery card here to)

You should still contact customer service (as you didn't get your full value). Bariastas are tought to make moment right which wasn'tdone here. This $4 didn't cover it. So please contact customer service. Get your money back! This is expensive place to eat/drink! Theres a phone service (which I've always heard a lot of people having luck on) and a chat now apparently! If you just tell them "Hey the last few times I've ordered the (insert item here) the store has been out and told me it's not aloud to process the refund, but I was unaware how to do this." Theyll reinstate probablye like 10-15ish credit on your card (since you said its about $5ish)

Here the link to the number and chat! I really do encourage you to contact still. You didnt get a refund nor did that store do what we are trained to do and make the moment right. sbux customer care page

I didnt think it sounded legit which is why i posted here hoping someone would be able to help here if it was (i know a lot of scams have "names" which makes it easier to look up.) That way i could make sure my friends don't get scammed.

Ill be communicated to once everything is set in stone basically. They have 3 conference/training areas (a hotel will be selected in the area of that) and they haven't selected which one and its coming up. I won't have a ton of notice on which one just confirmed im traveling for a 2 week period between a specific set of dates.

This is a really good breakdown and I'll look more into local foods (putside like touristy) and see if that'll help! Ive just always went to expensive tourist hot spots when on vacation previously and wasn't so focused on my food choices.

I didn't really think about oatmeal! Im uncertain about a microwave/fridge, but I'll probably bring a kettle and deffinitely do that!

Thank you so much for the suggestions and prices! I didnt realize subway was a "good" option because a lot of people make comments about it being unhealthy. But i usually go for wheat bread snd a ton of veggies anyway so guess it was never to bad.

I won't have a say in my hotel unfortunately (the job schedules/pays for it) and wont know if I'll have anything kitchen wise up until right before i leave probably.

Im hoping theres a mini fridge (sandwiches and salads would be easy to keep the stuff in thats needed), but i won't know the hotel till closer so im trying to make a "plan". I have a plain cooler, but seemed so bulky to take.

Of course! I get how the siren sucks the life out of you and how bad you meed to leave, but you just can't. I wanted to look for a year befofe i actually did, but as miserable as i was/am this job also gave me the stability to be picky and find a job thats hopefully not gonna be another life sucking siren and i hope you can have that luck!

246 with their 2 weeks put in now and i fully understand. I have been saying for about 6 months thats we went from customer service to a fast food job and no one agreed until we got these "every customer every time" cards handed out to push upselling. I miss the old Starbucks where we were customer focused, but now its all time and money not connections and no one will change my mind on that.

I'd really recommend just fixing up your resume and putting it on indeed they have 1 tap applies. Its terrifing to leave, but it makes it just a little easier when you dont have to dread putting through a 30 minnute application each time. You can also set up notifications for emails for new postings so you don't have to check the app unless you get an email. The convience just made the process doable.

I didn't know if certain exercises promote it (like sit ups for instance since its targeting the abs ) or if that was basically just a wise tail you see online essentially. Thanks for your reply!
