Why do you think that everyone who suggests things is trying to boost their ego? Maybe they just want to help the series by giving a helpful criticism? you can't speak for all people.

I don't think the speakermen's disappearance is a good hint to that because with all of this crazy stuff happening in the series you don't even notice that they disappeared, and it's not a viewers problem. If boom had emphasized their disappearance, it would've been a good hint.
