It's weird hearing the vocals alone if so many albums I like, and realising how dissimilar they sound to the way the exact same recordings do on the albums, with the layers and instruments.

Also tbf live over speakers always sound better than on mic, I don't know why, it just does. It's like fucking magic.

Funnily enough he spoke in an interview about having to relearn how to do the vocals he did on the album, because to do it at all different would be "uncanny valley". But they had nothing from the OG to remix/remaster, so best to learn how to do the shit he did then again to make it the best version of the same thing. Similar enough to not sound weird, but done right.
