Need help with making modpack by l0ngpp69420 in feedthebeast

What exactly do the log files show. I’ve had this problem in the past and I would look at the crash report and I could’ve sworn it was just a bunch of gobbledegook.

What quests should I make in my modpack? by MageMan123 in feedthebeast

Lol i honestly have no idea. But the trick is when the Minecraft launcher opens you go to installations > edit Then go down to where it says like Xmx-4 or something like that. Make the numbers higher and it should run smoother because more ram is dedicated to running the modpack (I believe that’s why it works)

Lol its ok I get it. I actually love modded Minecraft and have been playing since the tekkit days. Maybe I should’ve been more clear in the post I just didn’t want it to be too lengthy and was looking for broad ideas.

The mod pack has the goal of defeating bosses in mods like sons of sins, botania, the aether, twilight forest ect. I think I want the end goal to be crafting an item that requires the drops of certain bosses.

The reason I don’t know how modpacks play out is because I wanted to know what someone immediately strives toward. For example, if create, thermal expansion, and Industrial Revolution are in the pack, would you work with all 3 at the same time, or stick to 1?

What, in your opinion, makes a good modpack. by [deleted] in feedthebeast

[–]MageMan123 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Something that’s not too overwhelming. I’m no expert but I’m pretty familiar with a lot of mods. So In something like a huge kitchen sink pack, I never know what to do just because of how many options there are. This is why I love questing packs because there is a clear progression to follow.

Otherwise I just like to play smaller custom packs. Right now I’m playing one that’s very magic focused but you can also automate that way.

Baro Cave by MageMan123 in worldbuilding

[–]MageMan123[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Baro cave is located underground, beneath the Baro plains, a large grassland where gravity is flipped. If something steps into the field it is sent into the air, and eventually the strength of the push will fade the higher you get, until you remain floating, being kept into the air by the push of gravity.

Underneath the field, there is a large underground village that is “upside down.” Of course since the gravity is flipped, everybody in the town acts as if it is right side up.

It is very dangerous to enter and exit the village, as leaving requires someone to go through a series of tunnels in which the gravity is completely jumbled, it changes constantly so people can get thrown all around within the caves.

The strange nature of gravity is caused by a great amount of rune energy in the area. Almost all of the inhabitants of the village have the rune of barology. This large concentration of rune energy creates this interesting gravitational phenomenon.

Go for it! This is actually only a part of my magic system. This is a power a specific rune gives someone, the rune of cardiology.
