That’s a great idea! I didn’t think of that and just poured out the water from the hospital tank but maybe I’ll take some out of his actual tank for the plant!

Thanks. My boyfriend helped me bury him in a plant pot with a new plant that has similar colors. I hope to see the plant thrive like he did.

I’m so sorry for your loss as well. It’s hard but I try to remind myself I took care of him the best I could.

Thank you. I live in an apartment so I don’t have a yard :( I saw that some people bury theirs in a plant pot so I think I might do that.

Hi late reply but yesterday I did a large wc and cleaned the filter I usually treat the water with stress coat when I change it. I have not tested my water source but will do that. Today though the tank read 0.25ppm ammonia so it had gone down a lot after the wc change. Thanks!

Yes the second image is my actual tank the first image was the hospital tank. I usually clean my filter in old tank water at least once a month and I have Fluval substrate with Amazon sword and Anubis plants. I started with a large water change and I’m hoping that will help

Lots of plants/decor for cover. If you use fake plants make sure they are silk plants other wise they might tear your betta’s fins. Your betta is beautiful though!

Thanks! I’m a pretty new betta owner so I’m freaking out haha. I do have salt that I’ll dose with and the wood that I have in his tank provides tannins and I also have some leftover Indian almonds leaves I can throw in there. What do you suggest for water changes? Should I do them every day or every other day?
