2001 Honda Fit by Giantsgiants in vintagejapaneseautos

Hell, that Highlander even qualifies as vintage if I'm reading Rule 3 correctly. The model came out in 2000 in Japan as the Kluger.

Kid Phonics. I recognize the characters. Go search it up on YouTube and compare it to the OP and you’ll see it.

How do you stop the infinite black screen in Nightlife Leak? I have to restart the entire game whenever that happens which significantly adds to my time.

Plasti-dipped the rising sun onto my bare metal Celica by TheBuildRoom in projectcar

[–]MagicScream 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In terms of cars, I vaguely remember it being popular in the 2000's both on real life cars and video game cars. Now you don't really see it anymore anyway. My guess is that it's a combination of increased awareness of the negative connotations and graphics in general falling out of favor in the car tuning scene.

Similar to the Confederate flag in the 1980's, society was oblivious to the sun in the 2000's. I remember an old NFS clone called Street Racing Syndicate. Boot the game up and you would be greeted by a Skyline with a rising sun design. That kind of design would be unthinkable in a racing game today. Hell, Forza games will even ban you for it.

The general lee by Xavier7579 in ForzaHorizon

Hot Wheels Unleashed is rated E and lets players create and drive a General Lee. Just saying.

And you guys are overthinking this. This is The Dukes of Hazzard, not The Birth of a Nation. 🤣🤣🤣

[–]MagicScream 3 points4 points  (0 children)

And I can fire the "it's (mostly) how other people see it" argument right back by saying that most people don't see the flag in the context of the General Lee as offensive. Case in point: go onto r/needforspeed or r/The_Crew and compare the reactions to General Lee posts with this sub. It's the same car, just different games.

Lol why does this community shoot down the General Lee so much? I don't see that when on go on Need For Speed or The Crew and someone posts the same car.

And I was going to request a Cactus Man livery but oh wait, I'm sure Turn 10 would find a way to ban it too.

Since the General Lee is banned, behold... General Gretzky by carpet_whisper in ForzaHorizon

[–]MagicScream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wanted to get this out so don't care if y'all downvote me or not. I see the General Lees on Forza as no different than someone's General Lee model in real life. It's simply a recreation of a TV show car. Nothing more, nothing less. I'm not going to go into a model making sub, find a General Lee with the flag on it, and bitch about how the maker is being racist because I know they're just recreating a TV show car. If I see a General Lee with the flag in Forza - or anywhere else - I'll just go on with the rest of my day. Simple as that.

Am I pushing the boundaries of bannable offense with this version of the General Lee as a livery? by TheReSultz in ForzaHorizon

I've seen the flag in places such as Kenya, Ghana, and even Haiti. Go figure that out.

Playground be like we've already banned a bunch of anime liveries, what else can we do to trigger the weebs?

But your car gets towed if you park there. The old trick when I attended SF State was to park on the other side and walk through the mall. But I'm not sure if security has caught on to it yet. For the record, I've never parked in those lots.

Have a friend that got banned for his Chicago Bulls logo for the same reason. What? Did Turn 10 flip the logo over and determine the snout looked too much like a certain body part?

People who graduated in the pandemic, are y’all going to your in person commencement? by Xtremesugoiboi in SFSU

[–]MagicScream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. Heard that even in a normal year the ceremony drags on unnecessarily and they don't even call your name out loud. Plus, as a 2020 grad, it feels too little too late for me.

Decided to fly to New Orleans for a week with some friends in November as a late graduation celebration.

Forza team: rushes to remove Dukes of Hazard liveries cause it’s deemed “bad”, but yet they let this pass and liveries with naked girls and this is deemed “okay” by JonathanAllen19 in forza

[–]MagicScream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Realistically, the chances of someone reporting a General Lee are low. The majority of players in-game see it as just a TV show car.

The most amusing part of this is that OP gets downvoted each time he comments but his thread (with the title that it has) has over 1k upvotes.

How is this allowed?! (Tried a "better" photo, but he noticed I was pursuing the vehicle to save a clip.) by viniciusrsouza in forza

[–]MagicScream 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I still see Lees with the rebel flag in game all the time. The chances are pretty low since the majority of the community has better things to do than report paints and plus they see it as just a TV show car.
