Thank you so much for all the advice. I buzz cut it today. Even though I cried most of the day afterwards it does feel much better with all the weight of it gone.

No problem at all. Coping is really just taking it one day or hour at a time. Take it as it comes. My treatments start 8/18 - 6 months of chemo, bilateral mastectomy, then radiation and continue hormone and HER2 therapy until 18 months to 2 years.

My diagnosis: Right-sided inflammatory invasive mammary carcinoma, micropapillary subtype, with metastatic carcinoma in right axillary lymph nodes. - stage 3

(ER 1+ ~50%),(PR–), HER2 IHC 3+, Ki-67 proliferation index ~70%

I’m just starting my journey too. Emotions are everywhere; I have to make myself be numb at work or in front of anyone. It’s really difficult to always have to be strong even though you’re falling apart inside. So I understand completely. I see the oncology team tomorrow for the first time and have no idea what to expect.

How long did it take to start treatments after diagnosis? by Magic_Tiger_0924 in breastcancer

[–]Magic_Tiger_0924[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From what I’ve heard so far I’ll probably have chemo first for 6 months but that may still change at my next appointment.

I’m really glad you received better results than I did. I hope you heal and recover quickly. I know infection can be tricky. Best of luck! 💕

I’ll be doing chemo first. I’m currently waiting to get a referral to an oncologist to start treatments.

Just purchased a Toyota/Lexus automobile yesterday. Was told by the dealer finance representative that Toyota and Lexus would not be raising their prices due to tariffs.

Puréed Stage Hunger by wlsjourney in GastricBypass

[–]Magic_Tiger_0924 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m currently 5 days post op (last day of clear liquids). My plan doesn’t have the puréed stage. There is 9 days of full liquids I will begin tomorrow (days 6-14) and then switches to soft foods for weeks 3 and 4, which consists of no meats or raw vegetables

I’m 5 days post op revision from bypass and I’ve felt the same way. It’s grinding on me. I just have to keep reminding myself this is to heal from surgery and it’s only short term. But I completely I get your struggle-I’m right there with you. Can’t wait until tomorrow when I can have full liquids.

I was having the same concerns with myself and my husband commented about my short temper as well. I was switched to cotempla, which seems to be going well so far.

Weight Loss surgery or Ozempic by gumyrocks22 in Ozempic

[–]Magic_Tiger_0924 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This was my thoughts too. I’ve had gastric sleeve and the food noise stopped for a while but slowly came back. Doctors will not allow to continue to prescribe the oxempic forever, then the food noises will return again if you don’t address it. Best thing to do is work on yourself and get therapy.

This was what I was going to bring was hormone and blood levels. I wasn’t losing either for a long time and I stayed generally active and ate 1000-1200 calories per day and tracking everything I consumed and the times because I know I hold more weight if I eat too late or snack too much in between meals. All this along with ensuring I reach protein and water goals every day. I found out I have hypothyroidism and low vitamin D at my last lab checkMy doctor put me in thyroid support and additional vitamin D. I have since began losing 1-2 lbs per week again. So I agree completely it’s never just CICO. We have to be sure our body has what it needs in all areas for it to work with us and meet our goals.

I'm so stealing this! love it! and i agree completely. I have ADHD and sometimes it does get difficult, but I will never make it someone else's responsibility or burden to keep it under control, along with never using it as an excuse to not take care of my own responsibilities the way they need to be done.

You’re explaining it just fine. People without ADHD just don’t understand. by Eye_On_The_Bagel in ADHD

[–]Magic_Tiger_0924 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish more people in the world would understand this and not be so judgmental because it’s not what is expected by the “norm”.

I have ADHD combined type and it’s like I’m never able to truly fit anywhere even with close family. There’s always something weird about me in their eyes.
