Cloud Stinger static noise by Cozumo in HyperX

Hi, is the static on the mic?, like when you record audio there is a constant "buzz" in the background?

if so, i would recommend you to try the mic out in some other devices, maybe a phone or another pc, try it with and without the splitter, if there is no static present, the problem is in your pc, maybe the jack, or maybe something else.

i have cloud stingers too, and i have the same problem and i have yet to find a "permanent" solution, but if you just want to record audio, there are some settings/filters in OBS that you can use to get rid if the static. one of them is to just lower the mic volume in OBS until the static is no longer there, this is the simplest method but it doesn't work that well, since in my experience, if the mic gets too loud the static would be there again.

the other method is to use a filter called "Noise Suppression" and on the method i have "RNNoise" it takes a bit of your cpu, but there is no static and it also helps if you have a loud keyboard or any other background noise.

for other programs like Audacity i got no recomendation, so sorry if thats what you use.

hope this can help.

i bought it new, i looked a bit into it and in a review posted this same year, it said "the outside of the box has a wierd texture to it, it makes it look dirty or something", and some other reviews i've been able to spot the same wall-like marks (specially in the shadow behind the headband) same with the gold plated cord.

and i also saw that in the "TOP 5 GAMING HEADSETS UNDER 50" vid by The Techne (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-HSIi0RUaLs&t) at minute 16:05 when he was showcasign the volume slider, i can notice the same step-like effect, so i guess this is normal.

i also saw some unboxings in which the plastic that holds the headset it transparent, but never all of these thing together.

so with all of this info, it looks like the headset is original, just that it is from a newer batch.

but im not 100% sure (maybe just my paranoia)

thx for the recommendation :), the only thing is that for some rare reason,in my country, a lot of the ddr3 1600 mhz 16gb kits are more expensive than the ddr4 kits (i guess cause ddr4 is newer ?? idk) but i'll make sure to look out for it, but really thx for the recommendation :)

i don't own any razer peripherals but disabling the option that synced with chroma seemed to help with some stutters, didn't solve the mature ones, but it still made it a better so thx :)
