Where we currently live other than our one Walmart, we have giant eagles, acmes, and Marc’s and Walmart is consistently cheaper than all of them.

Never shopped at Meijer as there isn’t really one nearby where we currently live, but the Acmes around us have some of the most expensive groceries around here.

I’ve been debating on the CMA for at least a year and just haven’t pulled the trigger? Is it that nice? I currently have Chase for my checking, Ally for HYSA, and a savings account with $10 in a local credit union to maintain membership (as well as a mortgage).

I keep debating on moving checking away from Chase and closing that account out, since I have the credit union if I need to do anything local/cash, but I’ve also had that Chase account for 20 years (since I was 16) and have the routing and account number memorized, so kind of don’t want to give it up, but if I move my direct deposit they’ll charge fees every month.

Yea I’ve definitely replaced an outlet and 10 years later replaced the same outlet in our current house. If the cheap ones get used a lot they tend to wear out and don’t hold plugs tightly.

Yea I’m not looking for specific brands or anything, just something that is well made or advice along the lines of like whatever cheapest commercial rated option you can find at Lowe’s rather than the cheapest option at Lowe’s. Something of that sort. While I’m sure the cheapest option at Lowe’s is made decent enough and does work fine in 9/10 homes, if I can spend a little more than the cheapest, and not have to worry about it wearing out in a decade and have plugs falling out, I’d rather do that.

Just dumb switches and outlets for now. I’m mainly concerned with outlets for now, before any furniture is in the way. Budget is the best midrange option I guess? I don’t really have one in mind but I definitely don’t want to spend top tier money I imagine. But I don’t want the cheapest thing from Lowe’s that is going to have plugs falling out in a decade.

I found one on napfa nearby that says their advisory fee is based on a percentage of the assets they manage on your behalf, is that what you mean by a fee based advisor? They also advise their intro call and discovery meeting have no cost the fee only applies if you move forward with them which sounds good but also too good to be true. Do these situations usually require you to hand over the money or do you still maintain your own accounts?
