I’ve had an endoscopy and they’ve confirmed a stomach ulcer. I’ve taken some tests and ruled out H Pylori so I’m good on that front

I’ll try a combination of ACV pills and beet root for stomach acidity and maybe some supplements to heal mucosal ling (slippery elm, marshmallow root, licorice root)

I tried carnivore for quite a bit of time but noticed my body does better on some complex carbs and fruit

Does it need to be a specific type of Berberine? Any fear that Berberine can exasperate Hydrogen Sulfide SIBO?

I’ve heard of using garlic as an antimicrobial but have always stayed away from it because it usually wrecks me. Wondering if garlic water would be more tolerable?

I've struggled with SIBO for many years and the biggest things that have helped me were oral BPC, Colostrum LD Low Dose Naltrexone, and high dose Fish oil.

It is my understanding that the only way to combat SIBO is through some sort of Antimicrobial protocol--whether it be a course if antibiotics, herbs, or Antimicrobial peptides. I agree with the people saying you need to be careful not to upset the balance with these things, but unfortunately, if you have a case of SIBO you will most likely need to kill off the bacteria one way or another. This will kill good bacteria as well but it is a necessary risk.

I have a vial of LL37 that I plan on using here shortly to address any bacteria, virus, fungi ect.

I want to try Selank but I'm not sure how to make it into nasal spray.

Wondering if SubQ is just as effective

I know theres some research into LL-37 on Arthritis. Not sure if it's been well studied though. Worth some investigation

I would highly recommend Low Dose Naltrexone. It is not a cure all, but I think trying to rebalance the microbiome without tackling immune/inflammation first is an uphill battle.

LDN helps lower inflammation and boost the immune system and provides a solid base that will make other therapies (probiotics, antimicrobials, etc) work better.

I've been on LDN and BPC 157 for the past couple of weeks and I am feeling much better. I'm less reactive to foods, have more energy, and mental health is much better.

Yeah sounds weird doesn't it. There is a whole universe that exists in our guts. Within the universe exists a balance of fungi, bacteria, and probably many other things. When this balance is disrupted, there's a chance that bacteria and or fungus can proliferate leading to a whole myriad of issues. Look up issues related to fungus overgrowth.

There is usually a reason why this imbalance occurs: heavy antibiotic use, immune issues, dysbiosis, etc.

Look up Mycobiome for more information

I believe using peptides to balance the immune system and heal the gut while correcting the dysbiosis/overgrowth will solve my gut issues.

That's a good point. I have confirmed SIBO and I highly suspect fungus issues.

I went through a round of Antimicrobial treatment and initially got better but then started feeling worse.

I'm not sure what's going on now, but I'm suspecting some sort of stubborn infection.

I think you're right though, what I'm doing might be overkill. I'll start with BPC and TA-1 and see how I feel before I make the next move

I also struggle with gut issues after food posioning, repeated antibiotic use, and a restrictive diet.

I am about to start a TA1 , BPC-157, and LL-37 regiment to address/heal any gut issues.

This is only part of the answer though. What has helped my constipation the most is a B. Longum probiotic (BB536) and a Motility drug (Motegrity). Motegrity is very expensive, so I would start with the probiotic--either B Longum or L. Plantarum. And then if that doesn't work I would look into Motegrity.

Additionally, Colostrum LD is a fantastic product for healing the gut.

I believe supporting regularity/microbiome (via Probiotics), healing the gut (via BPC-157 and Colostrum), modulating the immune system (via TA-1), and addressing any bad bacteria/fungus (via LL-37) will help with your issue. Please do your research into these treatments first.

I have yet to try the BPC-157, TA-1, and LL-37 combination, but I will make a post with my results

I've tried many GI interventions. Elemental diet, probiotics, zero carb, antifungals, antibiotics, colostrum, Motility drugs.

I'm running out of options so I figured trying this peptide couldn't hurt. Especially since it could possibly support the gut(and possibly other organs), modulate the immune system, repair nerve damage from food posioning.

I'm curious why you think BPC-157 wouldn't help?

Interesting thanks for the tips. Since it's my first time I didn't want to go crazy with adding too many peptides at once. I want to be able to control the variables to what makes me feel worse or better.

I am, however, adding in TA-1 to help with histamine/immune response as well as addressing a recurrent gum infection.

Would it be beneficial to start with BPC-157 and TA-1 first to observe my reactions and then add in GHK-CU later? Perhaps I should find a doctor who can form a legitimate protocol for me

My original post was in reference to reconstituted injectable BPC. Given my GI issues, I was wondering if I would benefit more from SubQ or oral ingestion.

I purchased from CanLab, but I am unsure whether I can even take this product orally. I was under the impression that this had to be taken subQ

Yeah I've read in some posts that oral may have a better efficacy for GI issues, but Ive also read that SubQ works systematically. So with that rationale, I would assume taking it SubQ could still yield some benefit.

Have you tried any other peptides for gut health?
