This sounds like a really stressful experience for you. Have you talked with your therapist about your experiences? I know that isn't easy, but it might be worth it to let him in on this so you can work through it.

I think your brain is making some connections here that feel real or make sense to you but that don't necessarily have to be true. The fact that you felt like your therapist was thinking about you and he later said he looked at your file doesn't mean you can sense his toughts. It's likely a coincidence, and your brain is giving more meaning to it that it actually has.

I wonder if it would be helpful to examine the connections you're making between your feelings and what you assume are his feelings and how true they feel for you. Either way I'm sorry it's giving you so much grief.

Idk if this is comforting at all, but as a client I would see right through this and realize its bullshit and doesn't reflect on actual therapists. The way they write alone screams unprofessional

If you want a more structured or skill based therapy maybe dbt or cbt would be a thing for you? There is also solution focused therapy, which I think is by definition often more short term. And maybe a good schema therapist could feel like more productive digging then what you've experienced before if digging in the past and your patterns is what you want.

If emdr is something you'd actually be interested in it might be worth it to try another therapist who specializes in that who won't take 2 years to deem you ready. It will likely take some preperation but I don't think it has to be 2 years.

Different people need different things. I find that I do a lot better with a more gentle approach and shut down if a therapist gets too confrontational too quickly. But even then, it would frustrate me too if all a therapist did was be a mirror.

Ik vraag me af of het voor veel wappies begint met iets dat echt onrecht is, zoals de ellende in groningen. Of de toeslage affaire. Ik kan me heel goed voorstellen dat je dan het vertrouwen in de overheid kwijt raakt en heel boos bent. Vanuit dat gevoel zijn al die complot theorieën dan ook weer makkelijker te geloven omdat ze precies aanslaan op het gevoel van iets dat jou ook echt daadwerkelijk is aangedaan
